I was thinking of ordering Eyesential...it is quite expensive £40 for 15 ml - i can't find any reviews for Eyesential on MUA.....
Are there any similar products like Eyesential on EDS - if there are - what are they?
Regards
Karina
Thanks in advance |

I bought Eyesential. I followed the instructions and immediately my eyes looked a lot worse! It dries like egg yolk, and when you smile it creases up in any lines. It looked great on the shopping channel I bought it from, and I thought I must be applying it wrong, so I got my friend to try it, with exactly the same result. My advice is don't bother. |

I have just purchased Eyesential from QVC - I am so pleased with this product.
After a VERY thin application and then waited 2 minutes my fine lines vanished under my eyes.
I then applied a little Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat over the top of this product and my eyes looked great and very natural.
I am using Bliss No Motion Lotion as a night treatment and between the two my lines are under control.

lillilulu,
I am seconding exactly what you said, I am
in the US and bought a 2 for 1 special from QVC and no matter what I used it with it looked awful! I found it did not work with any cream, concealer or cosmetic I used with it! I had the creasing where ever it was applied! I won't waste my money on this, it's just as bad as sudden change brand found in drugstores! Yes it looks great on TV, don't they all!

I guess I am very lucky - I have very tiny lines under my eyes and applied a tiny amount of the product and it really worked per my original post.
My partner also used it and was really pleased.
As you know on the forums I don't share ideas and my experience unless it is the truth and I have fully tested the product.

photoqueen,
I followed the directions to the letter and used a minuscule amount! There are many hints in the directions and tried them all! I assume we all
post our honest experiences about products! I know I do! We see it everywhere on the threads what works great for some just don't for others! We are individuals, and nothing is one size fits all! I think it is fantastic it does indeed work so well for you and your partner, at least you are getting your moneys worth! Unfortunately that isn't the case for me and obviously some others!

I'm thirding! I haven't tried Eyesential, but I have tried similar products that work in the same way. When applied, you do get an instant smoothing effect but then if you move your face, it flakes and cracks. In my experience, these type of products must be applied to clean, bare skin - which is a problem in itself, because if you apply anything over the top, moisturiser, makeup, the effect is gone.
It could be that there is a real knack to applying this - but I was never able to master it. |

photoqueen,
I am sorry you feel that way, I firmly believe we all have something to contribute, whether positive or negative on any product or gadget ect. Someone who may well wish to try the product may gain immensely from your experience and input! I think that the fact it works well for you and yours is great and respect your honest review of the product based on your experience. I do wish it would be accepted that not all have had that same positive experience! I will say again not everything works for everyone, this is obvious on almost every thread on the forum! So I hope if some people who wish to use the product have questions you would be there to answer for them!

There is definitely a knack to applying I guess. The sales assistant applied it to me and Wow! I didn't know how much I had aged until I saw how I looked after! My undereyes were well and truly tucked. She only did it to one side so I had to get her to do the other one so I didn't walk around looking like lopsided! |

I think Karina was after everyone's opinion on these products - good and bad. We've had too much of people becoming snippy lately just because others have a different opinion.
If you've had a good result - why don't you share your application methods. Maybe you could teach others how to have success with this product.
Also, there's a huge thread started by Toby on the Easy Eye Solutions - allot of members are raving about that. Check it out here:

I did for several years work as a cosmetologist and applied makeup for entire wedding parties ect. while my friend styled the hair from the bride to great grandma and all ages in between! I do believe I am aware how little is needed as well as the proper technique, I can follow directions. Whatever it is once again I am glad this works for you, it just like anything will not work for every person out there! I just think for some reason this concept is unacceptable to some!

TTD - it took me a while to find the right technique.
The key is to apply to very clean/dry skin and don't use the applicator - as this add too much product and you get the dry egg white look - you need to apply the product to the middle finger and very gently pat around the under eye area - wait a minute and check the results - if you need to apply more product be very conservative, wait and check. I then pat my eye cream around the product and let that dry and apply my make up product.
It works well.

Photoqueen - what happens with the product if you happen to use facial oils? Could you get away with just applying the oils around the product or would the oil just migrate and spoil the effect?
Incidentally, I wouldn't be surprised if these type of products actually were comprised of egg white. Have any of you ever done an egg white facial? It drys on your face and makes you look flawless and wrinkle free - only trouble is, when you wash it off you're back to normal! |

It didn't work - the oil soaks into the eye product and basically you end up with an oily omelette!

That's what I was afraid of! I wish they'd come up with this type of eye product that you could apply over any type of moisturiser and makeup that would still give the same result. |

I think That is a big issue for a lot with these products, I know I like a creamy and soft conceler and they don't work together with this!

This is an excellent product, I worked for this company a while back, they also sell a product called The Lift. Both products have temporary results, and bot work really well, the only downside is that for the price you may as well have a procedure instead (The Lift is $300 and Eyesential is $100). Eyesential gets rid of bags instantly (temporarily) but not so much wrinkles, California Beauty sell a product for wrinkles that can be used on other areas of the face for wrinkles. |

I had the same result. It did nothing but leave me with a dried egg white look around my eyes. I ended up throwing the product in the bin. |

How much of the product were you applying? You only need a very very small amount (less is more) then you use your ring finger to apply it in one sweeping motion and fan. If you apply to much it looks terrible, Ive witnessed that first hand. How many times did you try to use it? |
