I have used a 12.5% peel from Makeup Artist's Choice and according to their instructions - no swimming in chlorine water or ocean water while your skin is recovering from the peel. Be fully informed and prepared before you start your peel. They also recommend using a glycolic or lactic acid peel on a weekly basis to help maintain the results of your TCA peel longer. Hope this helps. |

Thank you guess i'll have to sell the product, kinda terrified me the idea of using it anyway. After a 12.5% usage would i have to avoid swimming for like a month? and how long would my skin look particularly bad? |

According to the instructions from Makeup Artist's Choice - "Allow about 10 days to assess the full results of the peel". In my opinion, I would stay out of the pool for 10 days. Have you considered doing just a patch test before deciding whether to give it away? |

When I did a 12% TCA from perfectcomplexion.com it really tightened up my skin and dried out my face for a good 4 days. Then I started peeling and had very tender skin underneath that I soothed with aloe, copper peptides and emu oil. Remembering the tenderness of the new skin which was fully peeled by day 7, I wouldn't subject it to chlorine. It might help to coat your face with a high spf physical sunblock to protect your skin from the chlorine. I just don't know. If your skin normally tolerates chlorine well, you might be ok. Just protect your new skin- oh, maybe a coat of vaseline while swimming would work also!. Just wash it off with a cleansing oil afterwards. |
