Hi
I have just received some AlphaDerma CE direct from Janson Beckett as they were doing a special offer and on the bottom of the 4oz bottles I received it says 120507, does anyone know if this is the expiry date, as in Dec 5th '07 because obviously if it is, then it's out of date, maybe that's why it was a good price? If this ISN'T the expiry date, does anyone know where it does have an expiry date, I can't see any other dates on the bottle or box.
TIA |

I stand to be corrected if wrong. Not long ago I contacted JB regarding the same issue. From what I remember that is the bottled date. AlphaDermaCE has a shelf life for at least one year (if not two). I have been using it for 3 years and never had one spoil on me. HTH's |

I just looked at the bottom of my ADCE 4oz bottle and the date is 09 11 07, but I purchased it in May, so now I'm confused. If that's the expiry date, mine has expired, and obviously the date isn't when it was bottled. |

Debster1000 if you got yours in May, did you get it direct from Janson Beckett when they had their last 30% off offer? If so, I THINK that might be why they are selling items at 30% off because they're out of date?!?! If anyone knows otherwise please let me know. |

sarahb,
No, I got it right here at EDS. I'm not sure if I should keep on using it because it appears to be expired. It looks fine, though, and I'd hate to waste it. |

I think it's manufacture date. |

I have emailed JB to ask them about the numbers, haven't heard back from them yet. I don't think it can be a manufacturing date, if Debster1000 bought it in May '07 and the 'date' is Sept '07. |

Hi
Don't stop using it, it might not be a date. |

I've come to understand about these dates many non-organic products that the product will not necessarily spoil after the printed date but rather slowly being to lose its potency.
It's still safe to use the product, but with each passing month it will be less effective.
Please don't take my word for it though, I'm by no means an expert. I would advise calling the manufacturer and asking if the product is safe to use beyond the printed date. |

Hi
I don't know whether it IS a date on the product, that's what I'm trying to find out. I've only just bought it so surely they aren't selling out of date products? |

I have contacted JB to find out the correct answer to their coding. I am confident that the label on the bottom is not an expiration date. |

I've got a 1 oz bottle of the ADCE and on the bottom there is a sticker with two dates (050707 and 091807) which I took to mean were the manufactered date and the expiration date. However, these two dates are only a little over 4 months apart and I would think the product would stay effective for longer than that. I'm curious to find out what Winnie hears from JB. |

But have they answered how to find the real expiration date? I have a bottle with"050707" from EDS, too. If this is not the expiration date, what does it mean? |

I just got off the phone with Janson Beckett. The top number is the manufactured date. The botton number is the batch number. Your product expires three years from the manufactured date (top number). Hope this helps.
Happy Holidays,

Thanks Winnie, that information does help clear things up! JB should consider coming up with a new set of batch numbers though since the second number could easily be mistaken as the expiration date. People might think their product is not fresh when it is still well within its use-by date. |

Hi Winnie
Thanks for checking, so as mine say 120507 and you guys put the date around the other way to us in the UK, does that mean Dec 5th '07? If so, then has it only JUST been manufactured??!! |

I checked a couple of my jars (eye cream, chamonix moisturezer) and I don't see any date. Does that mean they're good forever? |
