I find that if I dry brush before my shower my moisturizers are more effective. Right now I am using Caudalia and Suki body lotions. Both lines are hydrating and smell gorgeous. John Masters have some lovely products also. |

The benefits of dry-brushing are so worth the little time it takes to do it everyday. So great for the lymphatic system! A cool water rinse at the end of your shower is also beneficial. It took me awhile to get used to it but now I find it invigorating!
As for moisturizing, I use sesame oil at the very end of my shower. It is a light oil that penetrates very quickly. I've also recently learned that it has natural SPF properties, which is an extra bonus. |

ITA w/ avalange about dry brushing. When I saw this question/thread, that's the first thing that sprung to mind. Dry brushing will do wonders for your skin and overall health. I've been doing it for years. |

You can try the body lotion of Bath and Body Works, their products are very useful and the prices are reasonable. Also, you should apply the body lotion as soon as possible after a shower. |

Speaking of dry brushing...
I've tried it but find it aggravates my eczema. Ideas? |

For those who recommended dry brushing...I could not agree more! Dry brushing stimulates circulation, lymphatic drainage, exfoliates and keeps skin firm if done on a regular routine. After brushing I apply a moisturizer of my liking. Try it you'll like it.
nakeidknits, where you have eczema you should be very light handed with the brush. Don't over do. Perhaps you can get a softer brush to begin with. |

Nelly4's in Australia so I can't answer whether it's available there for her. Ask your local Australian pharmacies. Do they carry Gold Bond products?
If not, Nelly4 could get it thru someplace likewww.drugstore.com if the international shipping doesn't cost a lot..... but it looks like it would though.... Maybe someone else from Australia knows if this product is carried in Australia or has a better international source and shipping idea...

I, too, agree with the dry brushing. I started this about a month ago and have been seeing smoother skin, especially on my legs. Plus it feels great...like a mini body massage. |

I have started using Argan oil on my body and I really like it. Its especially great for soothing excema-I was previously utilizing avocado oil for this purpose (which also works) however the argan is doing a better job at softening as well as moisturizing. |

Along with drinking filtered water and taking good quality fish oil (liquid form), I've been using coconut milk as a moisturizer right after I turn off the water in the shower (coconut oil was a bit too greasy for my skin - although it is fantastic for extremely dry skin). Because I only use coconut milk for skin care, I freeze it in an ice cube tray, then defrost a couple of cubes overnight (although I'm sure you could use them frozen and they would melt from the heat of the shower). I add a couple drops of essential oil - right now, because it's summer, I use peppermint oil. After I shower, I smooth this over my wet skin (including face and neck) and I stay moisturized for the rest of the day. Best of all it's natural and cheap! |

I love LUSH Dream Cream. It's packed with all kinds of wonderful good-smelling oils and softens the driest alligator skin. $32.00 for an 8oz tub that lasts a long time. Smells divine too. |
