Does anyone know where I can buy it? Does the packaging look any different?
Thanks!

Have you tried ebay? They sell everything else under the sun, so it is a possibility if it is a discontinued item. I am new to the board also, so maybe someone else will come along that knows more!! Hope you find it! |

Just curious, are there any reasons why the new ingredient algae would be less preferred to the old one with bismuth? Pardon my ignorance but it is a "better" ingredient no? |

Is both the pressed and loose "Amazing Base" now bismuth free?
I had sort of sworn off MMU for a number of reasons, but I do recall really loving Jane Iredale until I had a bad reaction to the bismuth (especially in summer - itchy-palooza ) but it was a very creamy and lovely MMU....I wouldn't mind revisiting it if it felt the same going on but didn't have the bismuth - algae sounds good to me!
Does anyone know if this is the case? If so, I wonder if anyone knows a site that I can test drive the new version by ordering samples....

Hi Maria,
I was wondering the same myself. From what I could gather from the new list of ingredients (from her web), it does seem to be bismuth free now.
Believe someone did mention samples are available at Skin-Etc.com HTH!

Heya Ambien -
Thanks for the Skin-Etc. info...I had ordered from them a long time ago but I thought I had just seen on their ingredient list that they do list bismouth in there....maybe I'm mistaken. I'll have to revisit that, b/c I would like to try the line again if it indeed is bismouth-free. I really loved the creaminess of the line and the foundation colors were spot on for me

Apologies, forget to mention that the ingredients listed are both for the pressed base mineral foundation... |

What about the dimethicone? I hear that too can clog pores? Does anyone know the answer to this?? I have tried a few other MMU lines and did not find the texture as nice as the JI. |
