I've just had two weeks of holiday going to bed late and waking up late, I've got to get back into a routine of waking up at 6am! Any one know any tips (apart from the obvious sleep) on how to feel more energetic and rested?
merci ladies!

What you've got is like jet lag, take a one hour nap, start by meditating and then start over again, be sure to go to bed at a reasonable time
tonight and set your alarm clock and then DON'T hit the snooze button, get up. Go outside and breathe some early morning fresh air and come in and have something to eat and drink and you might try One a Day vitamins with All Day Energy. I feel normal again, Good Luck. |

You're very welcome, plus it's good for your mental start of the day, even if it's raining. Rain water makes your hair really soft and freshens your skin. If it's cold outside you feel refreshed too. The great outdoors is always good for you.
Have fun doing it. |

| I totally agree with getting outdoors. Usually I walk two/three miles a day. It has been extremely cold and windy as of late. My walking has decreased over the past weeks and so has my energy level. |

| I find drinking a glass of warm water with ACV and honey keeps my energy levels high throughout the day. Like you, after the hols getting back into the routine of waking up at 5AM to pack lunch make breakfast get kids to school and drive an hour to work was difficult for me at first. Then I remembered the 'water and lemon first thing in the morning' thread and since I don't always have lemons at home ACV is a great alternative. HTH some! |

| It is usually just hard getting up for the first week, but after the week is up your body is usually used to getting up early again (if you don't keep hitting the snooze button). |

I would be trying to do some early morning exercise and having a coffee. I say "would be" because even on holidays my body is used to getting up early for work so I can never sleep in. Even if I go to sleep at 5am, I can't sleep past 8am (though I would really like to)
Good luck! It shouldn't take too long for your body to switch back. |
