Good morning,
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience on pheromone products? If so what brands?

I currently am using two different brands to see which one works. So far I have only used Androstenone, which smells a bit musky, but I think it tends to work. I have noticed men looking at me while I am not looking.

The other brand I have is Vanin, which I still have not used. In my opinion it seems a bit overpriced since it comes in a tiny bottle (the same size as a sample perfume). I will post more results later, but if you have any input, let me know!

I thought pheromones were something we have naturally, isn't it like sweat or something along those lines? :S Are they bottling sweat?! Shock

Oh wow just looked it up, and now I am intrigued too!

I think Philosophy & Dr. Perricone make products like this (or used to) and I have always been curious about them. I know animals sense these on their partner's skin, like Hannah mentioned, when mating.

I'd love to hear about anyone's experiences!

They do not bottle sweat but a variety of chemicals found in sweat and other areas called pheromones. Yes we produce our own pheromones (the smell radiating off our punani and armpits), but unfortunately due to society`s and personal expectations, we shower and perfume, deodorize every day specifically for these areas not to smell. Hence the few pheromones that remain are being covered up by all the crap we put on ourselves to appear more attractive (irony really).

These products claim that by using a few drops, we can instantly appear more attractive not only to the opposite sex but to the same sex as well. It can be sexual, admiration, interest etc, so while women wonder what your secret is, men find you attractive even if you are wearing sweatpants. It is the most primal and critical aspect of attraction.

So being a psychologist, I decided to check this out myself, not really interested in picking men up or anything of that sort, but to see if these products work. SO yes, I am currently using the one I mentioned above.

If you do purchase pheromones, read the reviews beforehand, as I think there are a lot of fakes out there.

(side note: research shows that the olfactory sense ie smell is the most complicated sense because it triggers memories, emotions, thoughts, etc: example, smelling sunscreen brings me back to a child on the beach. Aromatherapy is shown to work due to the fact of its use via the olfactory nerve).
