I can't get ahold of either! Oh Carekate!!! Where are you! Anyway, Dr. H is the best one I've come across. I highly recommend it to you. |

Hi mjlover,
If you want an easy to find, inexpensive option there's Chapstick's Lip Butter (shea etc). It's from their all natural line and isn't too bad.
Also, I recommend Alima's lipbalm. It comes in subtle shades and they are very smooth and moisturizing. I have the Rhubarb (very subtle and no shimmer... YLBB shade for me), Acai (also subtle but w/ a little shimmer) and Fig (haven't tried it yet but I noticed there is shimmer in this one).
Dr. H's is good. I received a free pot of this from EDS with an order and was using if every day for a few days then lost it (d'oh!) so cannot vouch for it's long term effects. But what I tried, I liked.
Right now I always carry in my purse the Alima rhubarb, Chapstick lip butter, and my lipstick when I need a lot of color. |

For what it's worth, I know CK has had some troublesome health issues that have kept her from being as skincare-focused as she'd like, so perhaps she's taking it easy for her own sake.
As for suggestions, I can second the Dr. H, and I also recommend both Burt's Bees and MyChelle. Most natural/health food stores have a zillion natural lip balm options, and generally they're both affordable and chock full of good ingredients. My only beef is when they include chemical sunscreens -- so it pays to read labels if you're picky about that. |

You're in luck as Alima only sells their products online:
www.alimacosmetics.com
Specifically, here's the link to the lipbalm:
Alima Lipbalm (click here)
Ingredients are listed on this page. |

The John Masters Organics Lip Calm is good. EDS carries it for $6:
www.essentialdayspa.com/john-masters-organics-lip-p_6650.htm
I've also seen it at my local Whole Foods.
A good super cheap one I read about on EDS and then found at Walgreens for 99 cents is called Chicken Poop Lip Junk (yes, that's the name): www.ilovechickenpoop.com
I also like Kiss My Face Organic lip balm (fav flavor is ginger mango):

and Badger Balm especially lemon ginger:

My sister came to visit and left her L'Occitane shea butter, which I figured was for lips, so I tried it, and it's great. I'm allergic to all wax, so I know this has no wax. I'm ok with pretroleum but stopped using vaseline b/c i heard it's not great for your lips. I can't use chapstick at all or burt's bees, or my lips will look like 1000 bees stung them. |
