my derm prescribed me tazorac .05% cream and duac gel today for my SUPER oily, congested/blackhead prone skin.
im also using:
la roche-posay toleriane foaming cream cleanser
& avene clean-ac moisturizer
she told me to apply the duac to my face every morning, but im not sure if i want to do that. i dont have much inflamed acne, so i thought spot treating breakouts when i do have them might be a better choice to avoid the redness/flaking that im sure combining tazorac & duac is going to produce.
she also told me that when i apply the tazorac cream at night i dont necessarily have to apply a moisturizer before hand... but the tazorac website says to apply a moisturizer first, wait one hour then apply the tazorac.
also any other suggestions/advice for keeping my skin clear & un-irritated while on this regimen would be excellent
heres my plan so far:
morning:
wash w/ LRP toleriane
spot treat with duac
moisturize w/ avene clean-ac
night:
wash w/ LRP toleriane
moisturize w/ avene clean-ac
wait one hour
tazorac .05% cream (every other night for 3 weeks, then every night)
thanks |
