Ok, Guapagirl asked (in another thread) what red tea serum I am currently using.
I bought a few samples of the rooibos serum off the Diana Yvonne website and have been using that. I've read some good reviews of it and decided that since I can buy some samples (and since I DRINK rooibos tea and like it ) I was going to give it a go.
I've only been using this for about a week now. It's a clear yellowy gel and it's a tiny bit sticky at first until it dries. It feels quite nice on but I have found that if I go for a walk and my face sweats just a little bit, my face feels a bit sticky too Not terribly, but noticeable to me when I touch my face.
I'm still on the fence about this vs. vitamin C and I have not actually done any reading yet about the effectiveness of one versus the other.

cheers Mabsy!
did you get anything else off DY? I'm thinking of getting the copper peptides from her as it's a lot easier than direct from skinbiology. Did you see her before and after photos btw? You think they are genuine?
As to the roobios, I guess that if it's good for CPs then it may be worth a go, but don't like the idea of sticky ...I mean, did your hair stick to it and stuff? yuk! That's why I'm not addicted to juicy tubes |

Wow,
They really are putting everything into skin care products these days.
Glad to hear you are drinking the tea. This is fabulous for our bodies and fighting free radicals, even more powerful than vitamin E. |

Guapagirl - I also got samples of the Hyaluronic Moisturiser (haven't tried yet) and Squalene (also haven't tried yet). I haven't seen the photos before, but I had a look just now actually. I don't know.... I'm always a sceptic when it comes to before and afters... there is just so many things you can do to a photo in electronic format...
The Rooibos serum is not very sticky. It feels sticky to me in maybe the first 10 - 20 seconds on your skin and then it's fine. But I thought that as the day went on my face got a bit stickier (but not something that would make hair stick to it! ). It doesn't bother me much, it was just an observation.
Miss Shoes - I discovered rooibos tea about 10 years ago. My best friend is originally from SA, and they always have rooibos on hand at home. I love the taste of it and the fact that it's good for me is just a (big) bonus |

Sounds interesting, Mabsy. I saw it on DY's site but no real meaty information on it and what it does, how it works. Keep us informed on how you like it, okay? I have some pure hyaluronic acid and I'm still trying to decide what I think about it. Sometimes I think it's sucking the moisture right out of my own skin rather than from my moisturizer or the air - maybe I'm using too much of it. I'll be interested to see what you think of the squalane, too. |

I was curious about the HA. I like the fact that SC B5 and relaxaline has a high % of it as I'm sure it has helped with my moisture levels. Unlike better and all you other texas gals, I live in the land of permenant mist so I don't have to worry about my skin contributing to the climatic humidity
I think I'll do the CPs when my ADCE runs out and usr relaxaline and maybe Dr H over the top (I'm just looking for an excuse to try the rose cream ) |

I'll keep you posted. I'm onto my second sample (they're 5mL each) of the rooibos now and still can't quite make up my mind about it. I like it but I just don't know if it's worth the price and still not overly used to my sweat beeing a bit tacky. I'll try the Squalene after I finish the Rooibos and then try the HA. After that I'll try to figure out which one (if any) to get. I like the concept of Rooibos and I know it's great for you if you drink it, I haven't found any great info about it relating to skincare. |

Betterat40 - actually, I just realised I told a little lie. I *have* tried something else that they sell on the DY site, I just didn't realise that DY carried the Skinbiology stuff. Many years ago (maybe four or five) I bought the Skinbiology CP Night Eyes cream off the Skinbiology site. I don't know if the formulation has changed at all, but, at the time, it was a thick GREEN eye cream (that had a tendency to dry up around the top of the jar). I bought it in desperation to get rid of my dark circles but it didn't end up doing much for them. That's the only CP product I have tried and I have not been impressed with it. I have read good things about the CP serum though.
