Online at http://toofaced.com/product.asp?cat_id=208&dept_id=3
I was just in Sephora playing with testers, and I saw this in the Too Faced section and figured it must be new, since I'd never seen it before (and I'm OCD gaga for them and I have most of their eye stuff memorized). And yep, it has a little "NEW" next to it on their website!
I'm wondering how this compares to their other bases (specifically to "Second Base", as that's the one I have), and also to the Urban Decay primer that some people have raved about on here. I've been wanting to try the UD for a while, but I keep forgetting. I'm gonna go put both of these on my MUA wish list, but I thought I'd see if others had tried this one out. TIA! |

I'm really content with UDPP as it holds my eyeshadow like nothing and does brighten colours too. Let us know how it compares to UD, but in the meanwhile I am not searching for anything else (for once!) |

Unban decay primer is much more drier than the too faced. And, after applying eye shadows, too faced primer would make a more illustrious color than Urban Decay.
Anyway, i like too faced more. |

I tried Too Faced but not UDPP so can't compare. The Too Faced Primer seems to hold up my eye shadow well when compared to just my bare lids. But the problem is, I haven't use it too many times and the primer seems to seperate now. When I squeeze it out, some oil came out.... eeww |

Aw, that sucks Stardusty, I hate when products separate! Do you remember about how long you've had it?
I found UDPP to be a godsend for me as far as keeping my shadow in place, but it's not infallible and the packaging kind of drives me crazy. I need to do that whole chop-open-tube thing and scrape out the contents, but I'm just annoyed on principle that they haven't solved this issue by now! The Too Faced squeezie package appealed to me since it seemed easier in that sense, but I don't like oily separated primer either! |

I just got mine! Love it! My eye shadow actually stays all day until I take it off. I was wishy washy about it before as I wanted to try UDPP, but decided for this one because EDS has it
Thumbs up! |

I heard it's better than UDPP, especially the packaging. I'm going to try this after my UDPP runs out. |

The ingredients of TFSI and UDPP are very similar. UDPP is much drier but seems to "grab" eye shadow a little bit better. TFSI also does a good job to keep eye shadow in place. I prefer TFSI as I like the tube packaging and my eye brightener blends better with TFSI. |

ginnielizz, I purchased at EDS and got it around Christmas time so it's not even 2 months yet! Also, I can swear I didn't even use it more than 5-6x!!! |

Does anyone know how this primer compares to MAC's shadows primers that come in a small tube? |

Do you mean the paints? If so, I have Bare Canvas and used it as a base for a while. It was okay, but I prefer Too Faced. The shadows hold longer with it. |

Yes, sorry I meant the paints. I thought those held pretty well, but it looks like I'll have to give Too Faced a try. |

MAC paints are awesome. I've repurchased this several times over the years (although 1 tube lasts a long time). I use it in Untitled. This is the only e/s base that works for me and I've tried everything out there. |

Yes, the do last forever, I have had mine for awhile. I may give Too Faced a try based on the reviews here. |

I used UDPP but the packaging completely turned me off.... I have neither time nor inclination to get a miniature saw to cut open an unwieldy tube just so I can get to what remains of the primer.
I purchased Too Faced Shadow Insurance a month ago and so far, I really like it. Listing the pros and cons:
The Pros:
1. packaging is great --- the squeeze tube will enable me to use all of it, no more waste.
2. I like the fact that this doesn't have an application wand that can contribute to unsanitary conditions. Just squeeze a tiny amount on clean fingers to apply.
3. This works just as well as UDPP --- not better, not worse...just as well without the negatives associated with UDPP's packaging and dryness.
4. value - a tiny amount will cover both eyelids; I expect this tube will probably last at LEAST six months.
5. Neutral shade should work for nearly anyone; works well under powder and cream eye shadows. If I opt for an extremely natural look, I still use a bit of this on the eyelid and cover with silk/pearl powder.
6. Slightly creamier than UDPP, less tugging on delicate eye tissue to apply. But it does dry quickly.
The only drawback (IMO)
1. If you apply this before eye cream has time to absorb, it may ball up a little. Wait at least 10 minutes after eye cream application. |

I think the UDPP is better with staying power and color enhancing.
Too faced SI beats it only by packaging. It's hard to get everything out of the UDPP |

It really is hard to get everything out of there. I usually pull off the plastic stopper from the top and scoop everything out into a small container. You would never know how much you are wasting. |
