i keep hearing different things on what the proper way to use tazorac is...
my derm said to wash, wait 20 minutes & apply the taz (.5% cream)... no moisturizer needed.
the tazorac website & directions say wash & moisturize, wait one hour & then apply the taz.
and i've heard people here & on other forums say they mix the taz with equal amounts of moisturizer and apply it at the same time...
i have thick, super oily skin that is not prone to irritation from anything... |

I think you should follow your derm instruction.
the website instruction is for every skin type .
your derm give your instruction based on your skin type. |

| Even if your skin isn't prone to irritation, I would go slow with the taz until you see what it will do to your skin. The instructions vary from person to person and there is no "right" way. My skin is totally used to Taz now, so I don't even wait 20 min after washing my face, I just tone and then apply the taz right away. However, in the beginning I would def. recommend waiting 20 min or so after you wash your face, AND following with a moisturizer. HTH--- please keep us updated! |

| I'm old school: At night apply to clean, dry skin, and don't put moisturizers or anything else on your skin. |
