I love to search information @ EDS forum, and I find out so many products that I really want to try. But I am wondering those Active Ingredients should be use at what age?
I asked this because someone told me that I should not use those active ingredients at my age, and I am now 28.
So at what age you staring to use AHA BHA, Retin A,DAME, CP or other active ingredients? Thx for help

Hi Carman,
I am 30 and started using Retin A and CP's in the past couple of years. I think that if you are seeing your skin begin to age and skin turnover slow down then it would be okay for you to go ahead and try these products out. As for AHA and BHA well these are in skin care aimed at young teenagers so I don't think they could do you any harm.
I am afraid I don't really know much about DAME but perhaps someone else will be able to advise you?
I would advise you to do some more reading here and then starting with just one thing and see how it goes. Just remeber to treat your skin gently although I must say I don't always take my own advice .

Retin-A will help with the large pores on your cheeks and is the best thing to use for anti-aging. After a year of nightly use you only need to use it about 3X a week for maintenance.
Be sure to start gradually and at a lower dose to avoid excessive irritation and slowly work up to nightly.
Also be sure to use sunscreen and if you're planning on having a baby you need to stop use during you're pregnancy and if you're breast feeding.
I wish I had started using RA sooner instead of wasteing money on products that don't deliver much. HTH |

Forget chronological age, it depends on how much biological skin ageing there is. For me I starting using these products at 18! Due to UV damage from tanning beds, I had to start young to fix the premature skin damage that had been done.
That said, I think 28 is perfectly reasonable age for the average person to start thinking about using antiaging products...after all this is typically the time that collagen and elastin production starts to slow down along with a reduction in skin cell renewal and hydration levels.

Do you think it matters if you have "thin skin"?
Not really sure if my skin is thin, but should you use it if thats the case?? |
