So I am going to order the KGF serum for my thin hair to make it thicker. I recently emailed Dr. Hannah Sivak at Skinactives and asked her if I should use an anti-DHT shampoo in conjunction with the KGF serum. She said that there are several chemicals that serve the purpose of being anti-DHT and asked which one I wanted to use. (I dont know yet!) She then said in any case the shampoo will get rinsed away and very little will remain on the scalp.
I told her that it would be better not to waste any money on the anti-DHT shampoo then, and she said "I think so, but you could ask in the forum." lol This shows that you ladies have some pull!! (I had mentioned to her that I was interested in the KGF serum because of recommendations made in the forum.)
So what do you gals think? Anti-DHT shampoo PLUS the KGF serum, or is that just unecessary overkill? |

By the way I was using Nioxin for about a month, but I decided to stop when I discovered the evil of SLS and that it contained this ingredient. |

She may have meant their forum. There'd probably be someone there who could help you. |

Sodium Laurate Sulfate, a ingredient often used in shampoos, but a cause for irrited scalp for lots of people. |

Your not dumb. Easy mistake to make.
Im thinking of trying the serum too. Is it meant to promote healthier hair? Or does it just make it grow faster?
Thanks |

I need it to make my hair thicker in places where its too thin (like around the crown area and on the sides) and I know that it can be used for this, and also to make hair grow faster. I am sure if it gives your hair the help it needs to grow, it cant be hurting it (otherwise it wouldnt grow!) so Im guessing it makes your hair healthier at the same time. I know there are many other products that do this as well, however, and if you are just looking to make your hair healthier, you probably want to go with something that is intended for just that purpose. |
