I have just recently read about squalane oil which is said to be similar in properties to Emu Oil except it is made from olives. This would be great for me as I would love to get the benefits of Emu Oil but as I am vegetarian I wouldn't feel right using it.
Does anyone know a good place to buy this oil I checked on ebay but all the squalane oil was Japanese and from sharks. I am in the UK but am happy to order from the US or Canada ... too bad EDS doesn't stock this!
Thanks,

Hi
That product is used a lot in the Caudalie range. I'm also in the UK and have just bought the Caudalie day moisturiser which has squalene in (from olives). I recommend the range. |

Hmm, I have been curious about the Caudalie range for a while so I will look into this, I have tried the elixir spray which I find nice but more of an extra little touch than a corner stone product. I believe this the range of skincare favoured by Isabella Adjani and she seems to know the secret to eternal youth so it must be good! |

Ice Elements has a Squalane Oil, and at one time EDS used to carry this product. For whatever reason, EDS is no longer selling this oil, though it continues to offer a lot of the other Ice Elements products:?:
Anyway, here is a link in case you want to check it out. HTH's.

Oh, almost forgot. Lumiere Cosmetics also sells a Squalane oil and it was very reasonably priced. I believe it is currently out of stock, so you might want to email Kim, the owner, and ask her when she thinks she might have a new supply arriving. She is very prompt with replies, so you should hear back from her quickly.

Did anyone have a negative reaction to squalene? There's a moisturizer that I really wanna try (LRP Toleriane Fluid), however, a ton of reviews on MUS stated that the broke out because of the squalene. Any experiences here? |
