Upper lip? Chin? Where do you stop? How much of your face are you supposed to wax? Do you get it done or do-it-yourself, hot wax, sugar, cold wax, pre-done strips or hard wax that doesn't need strips? Your comments appreciated!

Are you using active skincare ingredients like retinoids or peels? If so, be very careful with facial waxing since you can hurt your tender new skin.

Being an trained as an esthetician and working as one I highly recommend getting someone else to do it for you!! THe upper lip is one of the most painful areas on the body...well second most!!

I am sure there are great, relatively inexpensive places to get that done and the esthetician will do it fast and very effectively.

I am blond but I have those very tiny and thin blond hairs on my cheeks, upperlip and chin. You can only see them when the light is shining through it, but I hate them Wink.
So I use the Braun Soft-Épil that I also use for my legs.
Painfull.....yes.....but not so painfull that I can't stand it.
Don't forget to desinfect with alcohol before and after usage.

I have some fine blonde hair too. I haven't touched it yet, but sometimes I think about it.

After you epilated, did you find that the hairs grew back thicker/darker/faster at all?

And did you have any problems with ingrowns?

No not at all! And I have been doing it for years!
The only thing is that when I don't desinfect, it can give me some break outs. But I think that's because of the fact that my skin is acne prone.

I always have irritation when I wax or just tweeze so I use Remergent Refoliator which calms the redness. I am acne prone too.

i tried it a very long time ago probly be 4-5 years now. Was painful the waxing...but after a while got used to it..........But then i started electrolysis and now no waxing no nothing Very Happy Very Happy

My personal opinion. it may cause skin to become loose from all the pulling Confused Shock

I use cold wax on my upper lip. I do it myself and don't find it at all painful.
