I have very dry and very sensitive skin and I would like to try a peel or a exfoliating product but I am scared to make matter worst. I am especially scared about the sensitivity. I know the CP's and other products would work much better if I was exfoliating. Many times a product sounds wonderful but when I read the reviews I come to find out that it is not for me. Example: PSF Pumpkin Peel. Please recommend some products for my type of skin! Thanks! |

Lactic Acid is the most gentle peel you can use. My skin is mature, thin and I must be careful. I get my lactic from Platinum Skin Care. I suggest that you call them for their advice if you are interested.
I am now the proud owner of a Clarisonic MD. I absolutely love this unit. To date it is my favorite "tool." Believe me I have many. The Clarisonic used with the delicate brush would work out nicely for you. It would be best if you used it a few times a week and worked up to once a day. I was using it twice a day (new toy) but found that was too much. IMO there is no need to use the Clarisonic in the morning. |

Winnie: I have been seriously considering the clarisonic but just have not been able to cough up the money. I think it is on backorder at EDS! Thanks! |

I have the same skin type and I use Modern Friction by Origins and I only apply it to my cheeks every second time. They say that it can be used 3 or 4 times a week but I only use it once and it is one of those products that lasts for 24 months after opening |

Murad makes a fruit enzyme peel that is extremely gentle. (It's the only Murad product that I like, incidentally.) |

I got a Cellex-C kit that included 1 oz. of their Speed Peel Polish and I like to use it on my face (I have dry skin). You leave it on for only a little while. It's gentle but gives me a fresh glow.
Doing online research, I see they've changed their formulations and now this speed polish I have is called a body polish and they've added stuff (including peppermint) for their "face polish". I would go with the "body polish" as you get more for your money and don't have the possibility of peppermint irritating your sensitive skin.

I too have dry sensitive skin and am using Aloette's Enzyme Peel and have had no adverse reactions and it is very effective at exfoliating. I have tried lactic acid but found it was too strong for my skin. |

A gentle exfoliating cleanser is Philosophy's Microdelivery Exfoliating Wash. It can be used as a daily cleanser or occasionally as an exfoliant. The granules are fine and the cleanser is not too harsh. |

I've had good success with Pevonia peeling enzyme cream. It is very gently on my sensitive skin and makes it feels very soft and smooth afterwords. |

I like Ice Elements 2 Minute Miracle. It's sold here at EDS. It's similar to Aloette's Enzyme Peel but less expensive. |

I'd be careful with Ice Elements! I used it once and although I was not rough and did not exfoliate too long, when I rinsed my face I found the Ice Elements tore my skin! It has been three weeks and I still have a raw patch of skin. But, I am allergic to aloe, etc. and generally do not exfoliate much, since I have been afraid of this sort of thing happening.
I used to think that my Clinique 7-day scrub cream was probably too rough and not doing the job other skin care products might, but, I have changed my mind. At least Clinique never hurt me. But then, we all respond differently... |

The PSF pumpkin peel is very gentle. You may also want to try a 2% BHA lotion. |
