I understand that CP serums cannot be used at the same time as Vitamin C, since they cancel each other out.
I use Platinum skincare products and this is my question. After I cleanse my face, I use Platinum's 10% Glycolic toner, followed by Emu oil. Is it safe to follow this with CP serum? Are Glycolic acids comprised of vitamin C? |

Glycolic acids are not composed of Vitamin C and it is my understanding that it is fine to use the second-generation CPs at the same time as acids. However, there was info out there that first-generation CPs may be broken down when used at the same time acids so those should probably be used at different times.
BTW, I don't think both the copper and Vitamin C become ineffective when used together, just one. I think copper cancels out Vitamin C but I'm not positive. |
