Just wanted to chime in to say that I've been doing a VL massage pretty much every morning for at least two to three months (due to the raves here!), and never feel effectively de-puffed if I miss it. /.../ I've been prone to puffy face and eye-bags since my early twenties (probably before but didn't care so much!), and this is *by far* the most effective things I've ever tried - and I've tried a lot - for reducing the puff and waking up my face. /.../
The result for me, aside from feeling absolutely wonderful, waking up my face and giving me a healthy glow, is dramatic drainage of nightly accumulated fluids. My eye-bags are so much better now, my former face is incomparable to post VL face. Aside from stimulating the lymph and assisting drainage, it seems to have thickened and toned the skin under my eyes and greatly aided in pulling the stretched skin back into position. I didn't even hope that such a thing was even possible. I was thinking that at the very worst, it might just feel like a nice massage, which it does!

Hi Trigger,... I'm liking it very much, specially as you also mention for eye bagginess!! I'm really pleased with that as I wasn't very sure of what to expect from the cupping, and it is the best by far of all the massages I've tried for the under eye area bags!!... At least for me.
I particularly couldn't get the knack for the neck area with the large face size, just kept loosing suction... Maybe I'm just a bit clumsy with it, anyhow, after a few days I decided to try the neck area with the small face cup, and had no problem!!
I got the four sizes through ebay, from the german seller that has been mentioned here before.
See you! |

I was taking the alpha lipoic acid and l- carnitine- r. L-Tyrosine and l-lysine too. Along with e and beta carotene and fish oils and c and msm and calcium...
when I was actually on a real regimen of taking them, I was eating less, got down to a weight I really liked.
lol. But right now I have not been taking them regularly like I was and now I have brain fog and my pants are too tight. Time to lose ten pounds ...
sigh.
ok
I guess I have to get back to taking thses things daily again. |

I used to have ALA and L carnitine, but it said on the bottle to take them on an empty stomach. I eat about every 3 hours so there never seemed to be a good time to take them
Is 2 hours after eating long enough? For some reason I've always thought it should be 3 or more. I get neurotic about things like that |

You eat as soon as you wake up too?
maybe try taking them as soon as you wake instead, then waiting an hour?
I think if you take them on an empty stomach (except maybe coffee lol)they should break open and start doing their thing before food hits the stomach. Food probably just keeps them from being absorbed properly.
since we were talking about this
I just took my vitamins on an empty stomach with my coffee. |

I have been taking supplements with various restrictions including empty stomach. You should be able to take them pretty much any time after three hours, or two hours if you had light meal. After you take the supplements you need to wait 30-40 minutes to allow the supplements to absorb, and then you can eat.
There are several things you can do to make supplements intake fit your day schedule.
* As it was suggested take them first thing in the morning, and proceed with getting dressed and morning routine. By the time you are done with morning routine you can eat already.
* If you work - Do not snack after lunch, but can drink water/tea. Not long before leaving work to go home (or 2-3 hours after lunch), take the supplements. By the time you get home you can eat already!
* If you are normally do not eat 2-3 hours before going to bed - you can take supplements right before going to bed.
* If you have light dinner - Two hours after dinner take supplements, and half hour after taking supplements can eat fruit or like.
Scheduling supplements might be a tricky thing because some of them can cancel each other, and should be taken at different times of the day. With the routine I described you should be able to take supplements on empty stomach up to 3 times a day without much stress on yourself.
I myself need to follow regimen with my supplements, and find that over time I am able to improve it to fit my lifestyle. |

how do you find out which ones cancel each other out?
I take a giant multi along with some others and I wonder now which ones I should be taking alone? |

Manufacturers can provide this info. They would state not to take this supplement with such and such.... If you take many different supplements it is a good idea to stack them, and establish particular regimen, so that your body has time and capabilities to work on them. |

I am the exact same way. I can never figure out how to put in the "take on an empty stomach", as I don't want to take a huge load in the morning, and it seems I always have food in my stomach after that!
Mpstat - great post. Thanks for all the recommendations on how to fit the supplements in! |

Just got mine from NCNskincare, the #1 model, and mine didn't come with oil. The seal was open and I was wondering if it might be missing, or did some gals here get theirs without too.
I guess I have to get the hang of it, as I keep losing suction, or maybe I have a small face as when I try and go around the curve of the neck or face it loses suction. I had also wanted to use it on the back of my hands to build thickness, but every time you go around a curve it loses suction there too. Does the #2 lose suction less? Does the #1 work for other gals on the backs of the hands?
Also, are these too strong for the upper eyelids? It's hard to use the #1 on the upper lids, but would the #2 be too strong for that area if it did work better there?
Is anyone also using the #1 2cm on the body? I'm afraid the small body one will be too large to go around the curves. Am I right in assuming the larger ones lose suction more often?
Sorry for all the questions, but I just got mine and trying to get it all figured out . |

hi - I got my small one day before yesterday and no oil came with it. I don't think it is supposed to. It was a separate item to order.
For not losing suction, I have been practicing and putting enough oil on my face and not going as fast as the lady in the video I seem to be doing better. ALthough the boney part near my brow it loses suction and on my neck.
I just have the small one from ncn, and the bigger suction cups i have I got from ebay that have just a bulb. I havenot been consistant with them. I hate doing these things when anyone else is home and it seems like I am never alone anymore. |

I don't understand your question about the number 2 cup for your eyelid? Is that the next size up? The 2cm?
I got the small one because I read on here somewhere the bigger ones don't fit in the areas like the upper lid and th upper lip. But I tried with the 2cm bulbie one and I could not use it all over my face- it was too big. Neck is ok for it, collar bone area no- kept losing suction. But I don't know if it loses suction all the time because it is a bulb and not made like the one from ncn for gliding, or if I'm using it incorrectly or what... |

Thanks Cathy. I was referring to the 1 cm one of the Vaculift. Was wondering if the suction from that would be too much for the upper lid. Is anyone using it there? Seems to pull on the eyelid. The 2 cm really is too large for that area, although I can use it there a little. The 2 cm I'm also using on the body too and I love it, although it seems to be too large for the back of the hands.
I will probably wind up getting the smaller 1 cm too at some point and maybe the smaller body one.
For the non Vaculift cups, which ones are the favorite here for a body cupping set? All these Vaculifts get expensive.
Thanks again for your replies . |

I have been following this for awhile and I want to thank everyone for sharing your experiences. Based on your successes, I've ordered the large face from Nanci and I hope to be "lifting" next week.
I'm also interested (and terrified) of trying dermarolling and possibly Lightstim -- can these be used with Vaculifter? TIA |

All three are somewhat taxing to your skin and the underlying tissue. I understand that you should do the LED every other day or so, the dermarolling about every 2 weeks at the most, and vaculifting perhaps on your off days from the LED? I wouldn't do too much after dermarolling-- perhaps lay off your skin for at least several days or so as it is pretty extreme. You don't have to do something everyday. In fact, doing too much can counter the effects you are trying to get. Just take your time, read the threads, and figure out what course of action is best for you. Everyone's skin is different. Take it slow and easy and figure out what works best for your skin. At least that is the best advice I can give. |

dermarolling - depending onthe depth of the needles you are using- for the smallest set of needles it says it can be used for product penetration. For the longer needled one, 1.5 I had been trying once a month - had to stop for a few months because (again) of a skin reaction.
I have started up again - done it once a month again (twice in 30 days) I actually have been trying it for a year now - except for the 3 or 4 months i didn't. And I did get some result- just not what I was hoping for. But the booklet said the benefits of the underlying skin cells regenerating and tightening continue for a year. So - I don't know.
I have never tried the light stim. It is out of my budget. |

If you use the deeper needled dermaroller, I would not use the cupping for a few days after. Not until the redness goes away from the rolling.
And that is different for everyone. For me - it took a week the first time. 2 days the second time. One day the third, fourth time I got that reaction , and this last time, my skin looked like I was sunburned for one day.
Witch hazel helped with how it felt this time. I put bactine on as soon as I rolled and then witchhazel after that.
I don't know. Maybe I'm crazy t keep trying it. lol. |

What oils is everyone using with this? Brand names? Would plain old extra virgin olive oil work as it's good for the skin? |

so far I have used squalane oil from the health food store and last night I used c-serum.
I think virgin olive oil would work great! |
