I would like to know which body creams or lotions has the best firming and moisturing benefits.
Last week, a magazine newspaper (Sunday Mirror mag) commented on one of L'Oreals, and I'm thinking of trying that, which is about £15, so kinda reasonable. They had single blinded experiments and some of the participants noticed at least 1 inch reduction on their body parts.
Which lotions have you tried AND works?
Thanks! |

Right now I am using Janson Beckett's Profile (New Formula). I am dieting and don't want my skin to get any looser. I am a long time user of several of Janson Beckett's products so I thought I would give Profile a try. I have been using it faithfully for 3 weeks after my morning shower. The first time I used it I was so scared as my body got hot and VERY red. The heat and redness lasted about 15 minutes. My skin absolutely feels firmer while using this products.
Sagging skin, post dieting, brought me to this forum. This time I will take off the extra 15 lbs. slowly, body brush, take MSM, Vit C, exercise and use Profile.
I have used several of the over the counter brands of body firming lotions with little success. Profile is potent stuff. To date I am very impressed. It is expensive but the large 12 oz. tube should last me some time. Right now JB is having specials. EDS also carries Profile.
You can read about Profile here:

Thanks Winnie, but that's way over my budget (I was thinking of drugstore brands )
The cheapest JB lotion I found in the UK was at skinstore.co.uk, and that was priced at nearly £53. I could order from the US, but lately all my parcels have been charged for taxes and altogether in just a month, I've had to pay about £30-ish.
However, saying that, I am tempted to try this lotion as I did a google search and although there's little reviews on it, of those, they seem to say that it truely works. |

yeahyeah,
I've just googledwww.treatyourskin.co.uk, and they sell Profile for £24.95, postage £0.95.
They are based in Hayling Island, Hampshire, so no problems with tax.
But the advert does carry a warning to try a small area first, so it could be rather strong for sensitive skin.

For drugstore brands I liked Nivea firming with CQ10. I thought is was good value, wasn`t sticky, light scent and made my skin look nice. On EDS, I thought that Ice elements body lotion was nice too and only $15 less your discount. |

yeahyeah,
Where did you get the impression that the Clarins is cheap?
I paid £45 for my tube. That's forty five quid for a disgusting STINK! |

I saw on Ebay that the Clarins was only £20 or so. I checked again and what I didnt see was that its only 200ml...So it is actually more expensive
Hi bugaboo
Does the Nivea really take the inches off? |

No, nothing will take inches off unless you really dehydrate yourself and of course, cut calorie intake but for the $6 or $7 it is worth trying to see if is what you are looking for. |

I really dislike Clarins because of the heavy perfume smell. Plus you can just feel the chemicals soaking into your body. |

My friend used the Nivea, and it makes your skin more firm, but I think she was massaging it in to work on cellulite. |

Hi,
Thanks for the tip on the profile - I had not heard of it before. I am going to give it a try on the website that Holmes has given.
I have tried many anti-cellulite stuff. The first gel that Dior had launched (this was atleast 9-10yrs ago) - I had found effective but since then nothing really makes that much of a difference (even the later version of Dior).
Most recently I have tried Decleor's slimming products. Although they do make the skin smoother and supple, however, it is very time consuming as you need atleast 2 steps.
So, thank you for the Profile tip. Might give it a try once I have finished the Decleor Oil. |
