My doctor only has the gel version of Retin-A as our pharmacies cannot get the cream in.

I live in England and want to know if anyone knows:

a) If I can use the gel on my skin
b) Can I order it online and if so do you know where?

My obagi package is on its way and I wanted to start the day it arrived.... Crying or Very sad

Thank you!

I don't know the answer to your question about whether you can use the gel form of Retin-A with Obagi (although I don't see why you couldn't) but if you decide to order the cream online you can get it fromwww.inhousepharmacy.com

Are you sure you cna't get Retin-A cream in england--the cream is the standard formula...

As for the gel, you can use it with the Obagi regime but some people claim it doesn't work as well as the cream becasue the gel is designed to penetrate slowly. I have use both gela nd cream with obagi and I found the cream makes the system work faster (read: more flaking, redness and irritation, but faster results) and the gel lessens is easier to rub in the skin (you'll see what I mean--at night when you apply the retin-a and blender there is an unbelievable amount of cream to rub in---the gel seems to be easier)

In the end I went with the cream becasue I wanted to ge the best possible results, but I still have a tube of the gel and use it occasionally.

Hey beeb

I thought that rentin-a was prescription only, so I went to my doctor he wrote the prescription (they can only get 0.025%) but the pharmacy is having trouble getting the cream in.

So I am a bit stuck, so will have to order online as I think I am out of options.

From my understanding, the blender is really meant to be used with RA cream. You could try the gel and see if it works, but I think you will probably be better off using the cream.

My derm said to use it with the cream and not the gel. I think the Blender is more effective with the cream.

Maybe try going to a different pharmacy, perhaps one in a large shopping center, or boots or something. I know that sometimes the pharmacy here will call other ones if they don't have what i need and have my Rx filled there instead.
