IMHO neither looks too appealing. Far too many chemicals.
You may want to do a search for handmade soap. The only 'chemical' is the lye that creates the process of actually making the soap. |

I second this...I would use a cold-pressed natural soap. They are not that expensive and they are full of beneficial and natural products, and still get your body clean and smelling wonderful. |

I agree--- too many irritating chemicals! Have you considered trying the Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Bar? I love this product! It is reasonably priced, smells wonderful, and the ingredients are very skin-friendly:
Vegetable Soap Base, Glycerin, Honey, Buttermilk Powder, Oatmeal Flour, Fragrance
Drugstore.com has a promotion going on right now where if you spend $25 on Baby Bee products, you get a free Buttermilk soap, if anyone is interested. |

Hi Northerngirl,
I use Skinlicious soaps. They are a Canadian company located in Ontario.
http://www.skinlicious.com/home.asp
They are updating their website so there are some technical difficulties going on right now.
Another company I like is Muskoka Soap Company.

You could try http://www.virginiasoap.com/ seems like they do handmade soaps as well. eBay also has some good sellers too if you take a look. |

I use Dove's Unscented. I wouldn't use on my face. I just purchased an Olive Oil based soap at Vita Health store in Manitoba. It's really nice.
Thanks Kareberry for the website muskokasoap.com I purchased some of their soaps and lip balms a few years ago, at a craft show in Ontario. Loved them and could never find how to reorder. |

The Dove one looks better than the other one. I like the Aveeno bar for the face. it's what I use when I'm feeling extra dry.
You may want to check out DHC-- the have a few different kinds of bar soaps for the face that are all very good. dhccare.com |

If you had to choose between the 2, I would pick the Dove. I would not use soap as a facial cleanser though, because it is too harsh. |
