My dermatologist wrote me prescriptions for Differin and Clindamycin lotion but did not tell me how to use them. I plan to use the Differin in the same way I've used Retin-a (every other night to start). Would that be right...start slow to see how my skin reacts/adjusts? I have no clue where in the regimen to apply the Clindamycin - Instructions on it say apply twice a day. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Also, does Differin bleach clothing/pillow cases? I thought I read that somewhere. Would be nice to know before I use it.

Thanks.

I used to use only clindamycin. Some doctor told me use only on spot acne, some doctor told me use around face.
I don't like to use this drugs for a long time,it may make my face thin.

I have both of those products,
I use the clindamycin lotion first (i apply it on my whole face), then once it dries i put on a thin layer of the differen gel/cream.
I use the clindamycin every night and the differin every other night.

the differin has not bleached or stained any of my clothing. But I sleep with a towel over my pillow just incase it does bleach my pillow cases- but I haven't see my towels or pillow cases change color.

I have only used Differin. I was instructed by my dermatologist to spot treat on affected areas nightly. Also,to apply a small amount on clean skin - to use lightly as the more used the more likely irritation will occur.

I haven't experienced any bleaching of clothes or bedding - although the product has usually been absorbed and my face is dry before it hits the pillow.

my doctor did the same thing but for doxycycline and clindamycin.
my question is with the directions : they say to apply the lotion twice daily for 15 days but what happens after that??? when do i use it again???? when i have a breakout or the same time the next month?? i need to know because i have 5 refills of this stuff. if anyone could answer this i would be much appreciative.
