I have medium/dark brown hair... well, it looks dark brown in most mirrors, but in the sunlight it looks lighter... I'd like to color my hair darker not only for color, but to give it more volume. Does color really thicken hair? Does going darker damage hair and will the color fade? I don't know much at all about it.
Any recommendations on what kind to use? |

I find that when I colour my hair it does feel a little fuller. I actually just used the new L'oreal Perfect 10 and I loved it!! It has alot of shine and it develops in 10 minutes! Because it is using a new technology and only takes 10 minutes, damage to the hair is minimal. After 4 or 5 weeks it MAY fade, hopefully not but if it does you can always use a glaze to give it a boost before your next colour. Hope this helps! |

Thanks Jen. A few more questions... when it fades with the natural color of my hair return or will it cause my natural color to fade because of the chemicals?
How long does the glaze last?
Thanks. |

If you use a permanent colour than everything will fade. The chemicals are actually changing your natual colour. If you use a demi-permanent than the colour will just fade out of your hair adn your natural colour will return. Does that make sense?! I hope so! Most glazes last about 28 washes. |
