I mentioned this in another thread but I think it's so amazing, it's worth mentioning in a separate thread. In December I had a steroid injection in my face to try to deflate a sebaceous cyst and after about a month, a "crater" developed in that spot. My doc warned me that could happen and didn't want to do the injection, but I was insistent. So, I accepted my fate and realized that I will have this sizeable dent for about a year. BUT it just so happens, I started using a dermaroller in the last month. I have been careful to "roll" this area real good...and incredibly, the dent has almost completely flattened out. It's happened so fast, I didn't even notice it was almost gone. Keep in mind I have only used the roller about 5-6 times. I am so thrilled and amazed. I do want to mention I am also using a DPL unit, but I don't think that is the healing source. Just wanted to share this as I am really excited to see something "working!" |

did you tell your dr about your dermaroller? Which one do you have and needle size? I am happy for you! |

No..haven't told the Doc. I used the .5mm twice,(but thought it was hokey!) then quickly moved up to the 1mm. That is the one I've used 5-6 times. Tonight I bought the 1.5mm online. I would love to hear from others who have had dents from injections to find out if this "healing time" is normal. (Initially the Doc warned me it could take a year for a dent to go away?!) |
