I just came across the Peter Thomas Roth- Acne clearing gel during a recent trip to Sephora...it has 2% salicylic and 10% glycolic, which is actually something I'd been looking for to help keep my pores clean post my microdermabrasion treatments.
Has anyone tried this product or a similar one they could recommend? |

Hi HannaLee
I've never tried the PTR acen clearing gel but I've just ordered it. Sorry I can't give any comment on the PTR at the moment.
I am a "acid" products user for years and I prefer Neostrata products. I actually don't have acen problem but large pores on and around my nose. It's the most effective way to get rid of oil inside pore by using salicylic i think, and AHA/PHA can help to resurface my skin well.
I've also tried the JB Blemish serum. It's too mind for me but it's not bad. |

I haven't tried the acne clearing gel but I do have the Peter Thomas Roth complexion pads which has the same percentages of salycylic and glycolic acid and I really like it |

I've also been eyeing the DDF 10% glycolic gel as that also has 2% salicylic and it seems to be the latest potion being recommended by those at Sephora |

I just started using this gel (after my face started to breakout again due to hormones- my facemaster for some reason has cleared my skin pretty well in hte last 2 months)
Ive been using the gel for 3 days and it did minimize a huge breakout within that time - which I guess isnt bad. But I suppose oxy would do the same.
I found mine at TJ Max for 3 dollars - so if you do like it - maybe check there next time for the bargain price. |

I know I sound like a broken record, but after years of struggling with acne, I'm now enjoying consistently clear skin. It's the homemade aspirin mask with sugar and honey. I wouldn't have believed it if you had told me, but it's done the trick for me. I use Dr. Hauschka products and then the aspirin mask 2 - 3 times a week (more if it looks like zits are forming). And the price is right. I can't believe how much money I've spent over the years when a mask with medicine cabinet & kitchen ingredients does the trick. |

I've heard so much about the aspirin mask, I really need to try it. Do you use organic honey or does it matter?? |

I don't, but that's because I'm just using up what I already have. I've heard from others on this forum that manuka (?) honey is particularly good, but I've never tried it. |

I've never even heard of Manuka honey, so I guess you're one step ahead of me.....lol. I'll have to pay better attention when I'm in the honey aisle from now on. |

I used to use PTR glycolic lotion. It was brilliant, really helped keep my skin clear.
I used it for quite a while but now on a combination of PSF Vit C during the day and retinol at night so I didnt want glycolic in the mix too.
I quite liked the pads but they are quite strong, even the milder ones. |

Manuka honey is a specific type of honey predominantly found in New Zealand. Studies show that it has significant antibacterial and healing properties. It is the BEST honey when you're sick with the common cold, particularly soothing for sore throats. I love it. I have tried it as a mask as well and it leaves skin soft. I prefer to consume it in large quantities. |

Hi HannaLee
Have you tried the PTR Bha/Aha gel finally? I've been testing it for 1 week. It can clear my pore effectively. It may help refine my skin but I think people shouldn't expect it can help minimize pore.
I am surprised to the result from PTR blemish bead which also contains AHA n BHA. My face immediately looks glow and clean after using it. |

MissCay- I ended up getting a few more samples from Sephora. It was sort of hard to tell how effective it was at doing since I was only using samples over a few days...it didn't seem to break me out though, and for my skin, a few days with a new product is usually all it takes!
Are you still using it? How are you finding it? |

Oh, I started using Avene's Diacneal...it has 0.1% retinaldehyde and 6% glycolic...I've only used it a few times, and had to stop about a week ago since I had been scheduled for a microdermabrasion, but I'm going to restart that soon! |
