Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if I could recieve some advice on what facial products I should purchase.
I've been using Yonka for just over a year now, and I do like it. However, I don't find that it does very much for when I break out (usually once a month).
My fair skin is a little bit of everything: it can be dry and then have breakouts right on top of the dry skin (?!) I usually break out when I'm very stressed or about once a month. It's not just one or two pimples either-when I break out, I BREAK out. My skin tone is not very even-a bit blotchy (I suspect a bit from acne scarring). I also have fairly visible pores (at least to me!)
The Yonka products I have been using are: Cleansing Milk
Creme 83 and 93 and PS when my skin is dry
Phyto 54
Mask 103
Gommage 305
I also have the Elastin Nuit and Elastine Jour that I use once in a while....they were given to me so I feel like I can't let them go to waste even though I'm not really interested in them.
I'm not sure whether to continue with Yonka, or try something new. I'm afraid to try something new in case I waste a lot of money on something that isn't as effective as Yonka but, I also don't want to spend more money on Yonka if there's something better out there for me. (I hate taking risks!!)
Also, (if it even matters)I'm 26 years old....
Thanks everyone!

| I have the occasional breakouts too, mine are hormonal. I really like PSF products for everyday use, but when I have breakouts I use Peter Thomas Roth toning pads (30.00)on the affected areas, it's strong though, so I only use it on my breakouts, not all over my face. It's 2% salicylic acid and 10% glycolic acid which appears to be the magic combo for me anyway. PSF also has an acne treatment mud that I use as an overnight zit zapper ($10.50, can't beat that). It worked really well, much better than my previous products which was from Institut Dermed which was 100.00. I also used a PSF pumpkin enzyme peel as an exfoliant which I really like. (26.00, compared to 100.00 for Institut Dermed and works just as well). I've been very pleased with PSF so far both in price and how well they work. |

Thanks for your reply!!
The wipes sound a bit too strong for me but, I'm interested in the peel, and mask.
The prices are wonderful-definitely something I can afford to look into without worrying about wasting money on a product that doesn't end up working.
Edit: I'm reading about the peel and notice that it is a bit irritating. How long do you leave yours on for?
Thanks!

Just for 5 minutes, I do have somewhat sensitive skin and it doesn't bother me too much. You can buy samples from the company's website just to see if they are suitable for you before making the big purchase. They also have a full ingredient listing for what exactly is in their products, and what benefits each ingredient has. I find going onto their website very helpful in determining which products are best for me.

Thanks Jenny....I'm definitely going to give the PSF line a chance.
On the website it states that the pumpkin peel leaves the skin sensitive to sun....have you had any trouble with burning? I tan so I'm wondering if I should skip this product or if trying it and not tanning for a few days would suffice?
Edit: How much does the website charge for shipping? I'm searching around but, not finding an answer.... |

| I have tried so many high and low end products and the only thing that has ever worked for my combo acne prone skin is Philosophy. I use the MU Optional kit and love it. I have purchased the Oxygen peel and exfoliating cleanser as well and have been equally happy. I tend to get bored easy so I try other lines but I always come back to this one....I have recently added a glycolic toner into the mix to lighten acne scars but my vote is for Philosophy. |

I think if memory serves me correctly shipping is based on how much you order and where you live. You basically have to put the items in your cart to determine how much the shipping would be, then if you figure it's too much you can remove them from your cart. |

Oh don't worry, most of what I get is from EDS. It's just the odd time that I just want to purchase samples of certain products first, or when the have specials (eye creams 25% off last month) is the only time I will buy right from PSF. |
