Just curious--do any of you limit your kid's computer times? How do you do it, by hours per day/week etc? |

Absolutely! My boys are 11 an 13. They aren't allowed on the computer during the school week, only weekends and only after they have done their homework and chores. They are not allowed a computer in their bedroom, they can only be on the internet when there is an adult in the house and we have a net-nanny installed. They are lucky that their dad likes to play computer games with them and that there is a dedicated computer room where they can play their games on computers that are all networked. We don't allow MSN or facebook or even email. It works well in our home. The rules have been in placed since they started being interested in the computer (around age 5). |

Similar to Peppy. No computer/TV/video games during the week. This is the absolute BEST decision we ever made!!! So only on the weekends. That being said, my kids (10, 9, 5) aren't really into the computer, mostly b/c I've never pushed it or used it much myself (SAHM).
Those are good additional guidelines Peppy! |

My 13 y.o. boy has to log on to his school web site to check on his homework assignments, so I'm ok with that. He also uses the computer to play games sometimes, and I am ok with that, too, as long as I don't need to use the pc. I told him to never talk to strangers on the net, and he said he's aware of predators on the net, so he only talks to his friends. |
