I don't really know, but I do remember something to the effect water soluble and no oils other than water soluble. I have used my Alphaderma CE and spritzed with water and felt current when I got close to a tooth filling. So I believe it was working. Also same thing with Silkia Camellia Oil for Anti-Aging & Acne Scars, felt it worked well with spritzing, and really left skin smoooooooth and silky.
I used my FacePrep,Alphaderma CE, Vit-c, all at once wanting to push them with the NuSkin and it worked, but I'm just not gung-ho to do it all the time.
Good Luck and let us know how it goes if you do give that a try.

Hi there, yes I recently purchased two microcurrent devices from Ebay. One was a "professional" salon type machine that has the two probes. It also has other probes that deliver a Feradic pulse (whatever that is). It was relatively inexpensive, AUD$380.00. I don't find it too difficult using the two separate probes, although it would be much more relaxing to be lying down and have someone else operate the machine. I have also read that you are supposed to slide the negative probe to the positive probe, however, my machine does not differentiate between the probes, they're not labelled. Plus the instruction book says nothing about this. So I asked the seller and she said it doesn't matter how you place the probes all very confusing. You can really feel the muscles twitching when you use the machine so I only use it on a low setting as it seems quite powerful.
The other gadget I bought is a little device that looks like a mini Nuface. It's supposed to use galvanic current which the instructions say is for cleansing the skin and no I haven't got a clue what galvanic current is either.
I used the "professional" machine for about two weeks straight then I got Botox in my forehead and stopped using it. I didn't want to stimulate any muscles I'd just paid a fortune to get paralysed! I don't think that either device has lifted my jowls and corners of my mouth (the two areas that I am most concerned with). At our age, I'm 58, sagging skin is caused by a loss of fat and oestrogen so I don't think that any amount of facial muscle stimulation is going to put our face back to where we would like it to be! However, I'm willing to try anything so when my Botox has settled I'll be back into it. You will also probably be interested in this thread

Hi Keliu,
Can you give the name and specs of your machine?

Inky, I'm away at the moment but when I get back home I'll let you know. Incidentally, I'm not using it anymore because it was a bit of a hassle. Now I'm using the Tua Viso, it's so much easier to use and, quite frankly, the muscle contraction is allot stronger.
Fawnie, I've been lusting after the Nuskin Glavanic Spa System for some time now. I saw a demonstration of it once where someone had half of their face treated with it - and you could actually see a difference, the treated side did look lifted. They're readily available for a better price on Ebay. What's stopping me is the price of the facial gels. Even the nurse at my spa (and they sell the gadget) said that she got sick of forking out for the gels and presumably she'd be getting them at a discount. So I'm still on the fence on this one. Have you done a search on the Forum, it's been mentioned a few times. I'm actually quite surprised it doesn't get more mentions here. |

I'm also interested to see if anyone else is using the NuSkin. I've got an appointment for a demonstration on Monday (June 22). The before/after pictures I was shown looked very impressive -- almost TOO impressive, if you will.
I'd just like to gather as much info as I can. I was quoted a price of $350.00 including gels/month. Is this reasonable?
Opinions and Experience, anyone?? |

I think in the US $320 is about the average price - you can pick them up a bit cheaper on Ebay.
Please give us some feedback on the demonstration - I'd be interested to see what you think. |

Kims, I paid $236 including gels and S&H on eBay. The serums are available there too for a lot less.
gii, I wondered the same thing since they are so expensive. I was told that the narcissus extract really is cutting edge for skin rejuvenation. Also the positive and negative charges are important. |

I have used both the NuSkin Galvanic, which all it did was break me out and I've used in a professional spa the microcurrent machine Arasys which, although it took a good 6 wks of treatment, the results were wonderful. I want to buy my own microcurrent machine and I've noticed that there are many different brands out on Ebay that are reasonably priced. Could anyone offer help on what to look for in a good machine? They all look very similar.
Thanks so much! |

The results I received where firming and tightening of my overall face and jowl area, my complexion looked alot more refined and just generally better and my color was much more even and fresh. I was very very happy with the results, but, those results also started to fade fairly quickly. This is why I'm looking to purchase a machine because the treatment is something that you have to keep doing consistently. Overall though, it was definitely worth the money! |

Why would the Nuskin device break you out - do you think it was just the gels?
I purchased a microcurrent machine on Ebay - it's called the S-Lady Electro-Lifting & Toning. It has two sets of cord attachments, with one set you use two prongs that have Q-tips placed in them. The other set has chrome electrodes and is for something called Faradic Current.
Overall, I think it is quite difficult and tiring to do the treatment on yourself - and I never saw any lifting from it. It now just sits in my cupboard, unused. I recently purchased a Tua Viso which is much easier to use - however, I can't say I've seen any results from that either.
I've been looking at the Nuskin device for some time now, but am too scared to waste any more money on devices that do nothing. |

This is my mini-review after doing 5 treatments with the NuSkin galvanic spa.
I only use half of each vial of serum because otherwise it's dripping off my face and is wasted, IMO. Half a vial more than covers and moistens my face for the treatment.
I can feel a slight "zapping" with the device on cycle #2 - the "treatment" cycle. Cycle #1 is the "cleansing" cycle and I don't feel anything.
During cycle #2 I can detect a very strong metallic taste. Not unpleasant, but it's definitely there.
I wouldn't say any lifting is going on at all, not like in the demo's! More like filling out of fine lines and plumpness of skin turgor. When I lingered too long on my nose with the device on cycle #2 I experienced some redness and areas looking like abrasions. Not pretty. This puppy can burn! Move quickly and don't linger too long on any certain area or go over any area more than recommended.
I did have some pimples occur when I used the "Firming Serum" vials. They have loads of silicones in them! They aren't essential to the treatments so I quit using them. They weren't showing any results except the pimples.
I'll keep using it till I see anything to make me think otherwise. Not a big change after 5 treatments 2-3 days apart. I haven't changed anything else in my regimen. |

Fawnie, do you have to wash off the gels after the treatment, or do you leave them to soak into the face?
I would just love it if some device could give my jowls a lift, but common sense tells me that nothing is going to lift sagging skin. At the spa the other day I was looking at the B & A's of the latest Thermage treatments - and honestly, they were not very impressive - only a very slight improvement!! |

For all of you who have purchased galvanic devices for at home use: Do you think it is money well-spent or would it be more effective (in terms of cost and results) to look into procedures performed at a medical spa or plastic surgeon's office?? Just looking for an honest opinion... Thanks!!! |

I think the benefits from the Nuskin galvanic are subtle. It won't lift jowls, I can tell you that. If that's your main concern, exercise and massage are your friends!! And surgery if all else fails. But overall, when used with all the other! things/products/exercises I use it's worthwhile for skin care I think. Too soon to tell, honestly.
Keliu, you are instructed to wipe the first serum off with a damp towel before proceeding to the second serum, then wipe it off gently when both cycles are completed. The serums seem to be the important thing, but of course they would tell you that to keep you buying more. Kassy said the narcissus extract in it is something that helps with anti-aging. I just leave a thin film on and then moisturize as usual. By then the current supposedly has driven the good stuff into the skin. It only takes about 10 minutes, tops, to do the treatment and you only need to do it 2 or 3 times a week. So far, so good. |

I have no idea why the NuSkin broke me out....could've been the gels that came with it. However, the first session that I had with the Arasys, the person that did it used the metal prongs instead of the silver gloves which he only used these after the first session. I did get some break outs when he used the prongs. He said that the prongs have a purifying effect, so it was drawing out the poison. I never had any break outs when he used the gloves. |

Has anyone used this machine? It's supposed to be the latest and greatest in body/face toning. It's rather expensive but I am contemplating getting it in the future. I'm just wondering if anyone has used it and what your thoughts were. |

I have the new NuSkin galvanic spa II that came out in March of this year. It is the ageloc model and is stronger(5X) than the older model. I like it and can tell a difference with lifting and toning after using it. I think the results are both long and short term. I don't like the way it is marketed and the gels are way too expensive. I bought gels much cheaper on ebay until I found the Rankine Remedies website that Skippie suggested in a post somewhere here. I am now using their gels and like them better they are about 40.00 for a 10 month usage. I am sure there are galvanic devices cheaper than the NuSkin. The NuSkin is very easy to use and some of the other devices may be more complicated. This is a video on the Rankine Remedies website that is good to watch.

I owe the Nuskin galvanic too! And with recommendations from forum, I've ordered treatment gels from Rankine pending delivery. From experience using Nuskin gels with its handheld, I have positive experience with it. It does have abit of drawing properties where black heads do come out easier. The lifting effects is noticeable on my eyelids where the fold doesn't sag so close to my double eye line. I only use it from time to time since the treatment gels are quite costly. Each use the effects last around 3 days before it gets back to square one. But I still quite like it. |

I think you will be pleased with the Rankine gels, I actually like them better. Make sure you watch their video because they instruct you to work on only one side of the face at a time....these gels penetrate more and you will dry out if you work on both sides at the same time. From people that have been using the device there is a recommendation of twice a week for the best results. With the lower cost of Rankine gels this is easy to do. Maybe with this kind of use you won't be back to square one

Hi Toby,
First of all, i want to thank you for your post. I was looking into this galvanic device and already felt discouraged by previous posts.
And then you came in with your wonderful results and the videos.
By the way, i've read in multiple posts that it is not recommended to stop device on your face. They say it can cause burning and other problems.
But on these videos doctor is doing it all the time. Does that mean NuSkin is more powerful than the device used on video?
Are you still using NuSkin and happy with the results? How often?
I know i really need to start doing something with my forehead lines and my sagging jowls. I am 42 and It is not going to get better by itself
I was reading about Tua Trend and it seems like everybody is using it and happy with the results, but i am afraid my body will protest against electroshock the same way it did once on Slender-tone device. I tried the Abs version though. May be the feeling is different in face version, but i really don't want to spend more than $300, just to find out that i was right
This NuSkin galvanic device seems much less invasive and i think i can tolerate that.
One more question - how close you are coming with this device to your eyes?
Thank You for your help. |

I have used NuFace, and found it to be completely useless. But my skin is very sensitive so, may be, it's just not the best device for sensitive skin. Same with the galvanic machine. |
