Hi everyone,
I'm on a roll this week!
I wanted to share my experience with Cat Cosmetics.
I was looking for another video to augment my beloved Lauren Hutton and I found it.
It's called Simply Gorgeous and it's from Catherine Hickland (she has her own website kind of like Lauren --just type cat cosmetic on yahoo and you'll find it).
This is the second brand of cosmetics sponsored by a celebrity that i actually think it's worth the try.
I highly recommend the video--she sells it on her website but i found it on a VHS version, used from Amazon for 3.98 USD.
I want to say that it's sort of like a companion to Lauren Hutton and complements it.
She has a lot of wonderful tips--while i'm not too crazy about her skin care--It's good but nothing extraordinary. Her makeup eye technique for the smoky eye is wonderful and easy..she calls it the "I woke up that way look!"
Her advice on lipstick is also great. She suggest to go lighter and i have to say it does work.
I have bought quite a few things from her site and so far these are the best:
The video/VHS
(get it cheaper and amazon)
the wonder puff--
I had no idea i could apply foundation with that--it's better than a foundation brush!
Lipgloss wheel
her pink lipgloss/lipstick is absolutely gorgeous
smoulder stick--
one end the perfect bronze and the other dark color fine pencil for that smoky look
Purrfection primer--
it's like Smashbox clear primer but i think a bit more velvety and multi use (for every area on face--she even use it on her hair dry ends)
Eyeshadows-eartha kat duo
bronzer/blush--catskirs
She is absolutely gorgeous. She shows you in the beginning what she looks like without makeup walking on the streets of New York.
She's a mature person and her video is really inspirational too.
If you have reservations about some of the makeup get the video --you won't regret it!
This one and Lauren Hutton are in my cosmetic library for ever.

Thanks for the review. I tried some Cat Cosmetics in the past, but I did not know she had made a video as well. Sounds interesting. |

I've looked at the Cat site many, many times - thought about an eyeshadow or two and there are a few blushers I almost bought too - the kabuki is supposed to be terrific. So far have not purchased. |
