I'd be pissed!!

I don't know about using stuff after it expires...I probably would, unless it smells or has changed colour (this from a girl who throws out luncheon meat if it's not eaten within 2 days of purchase)

Any chance you can return it? I'd ask them to send a new one and if they're uncooperative I'd put a mark on their e-bay sellers rating or whatever it's called (I don't use e-bay much)

I don't think it has an expiration date. Since make-up in general doesn't have a set date, though it is wise to follow guidelines after you've opened things (like the two to three months for mascara), you should be fine unless, like Lianne said, it changes colour or smell. Since it's mineral I'd like to think it would last a really long time.

I am not sure and this may sound kinda stupid but there may be some mineral ings that may oxidize or loose it's affinity after some time. I don't know how sure but maybe you can call their customer service or email them.

From memory, the BE foundation powders do have an expiration date but their blush powders do not. At least my BE warmth does not have a printed date but my BE powder does. I'm not sure why they have an expiry date but with the amount of products I have I am 100% sure that I will go past the expiry date and still keep using it (unless of course it goes weird, but I can't really see that happening).

That's annoying. The seller should have informed bidders of the expiry date in the auction.

...well for £40 you'd think wouldn't you? Laughing

I've sent it back anyhow, I'm not that worried about wearing 'tribute' style stuff, but I got well peed off at being told it was leather and it turned out to be plastic Shock

Where do you find the expiry date on BE foundation colors? I looked at all the jars that I have and don't see it on any of them.

I ordered my first order from HSN and they come on autoship from them.

I asked about the date because I don't see anything that looks like a date on the label on the bottom of my BE (powder side). I bought mine from HSN (Home Shopping Network). Interesting. Think

I bought my BE foundation from dermstore and it has an expiry date on it too. I also bought some eyeshadows but they don't have the dates stamped on them.

The first week or so I loved my BE, but then it seems like my pores were starting to look huge!

How weird. So some of them have it and some don't? Mine is printed on the bottom of the jar.

so if some do and some don't then it's probably ok then...I looked again and it expires in december, so if I use it all the time I may have used it all up by then anyway......then I can get a nice pale one and not look like I'm trying to be tanned!

Or, you can get a pale one and layer them! Wink I use 3 (Medium) and sometimes when I want a warmer color, I layer over it with 2.3 (medium beige). I've heard lots of people say that they layer different colors in Jane Iredale too.

I haven't found it to look too thick at all. Just apply each layer with a light touch. Smile

On the second layer, I really use less (about 1/2 as much) and just barely dust it around the face for sort of a glow. Cool

The trick will be choosing the right color as some have a pink caste, while others yellow undertones and others warmth.

They do have the warmth, but if you skin is very fair, you have to be pretty skilled in applying it, IMHO, to keep the color from being too concentrated. I have used the warmth, but given my choice, I guess I'd choose something just a little less concentrated than the BE warmth.

That's just personal opinion. I think I've heard Mabsy say that she likes the Warmth. Whaddaya say Mabsy? Give us the benefit of your knowledge! Laughing

Yeah, I have to agree with what Judy said about the application of Warmth. It does look lovely when applied correctly but if you are really pale (like myself) you do have to watch out or you might end up looking like a clown Smile

I found that you really have to swirl it in and tap off the excess and then be very gentle with the application. You can also only use it if you have used the powder foundation underneath or some sort of face powder. If you use it on moisturised skin the pigment "catches" - not a good look. I'm having the same difficulty with the Laura Mercier loose powder blush (I forget the actual name of the product). I usually use cream blushes on a daily basis because I'm in a hurry in the mornings (I like my sleep!). I only use loose powder blushes when I'm going out at night and have a bit more time to play around with my makeup or when I need the blush to last a long time (which the warmth does).

I agree with Mabsy that I always apply warmth after foundation and it helps tone it down when you apply Mineral Veil after warmth.

I also use a separate brush for each of these, one for foundation, one for warmth and another for mineral veil. That way, you don't transfer color from one to the other.
