With spring/summer just around the corner I was wondering if I could incorporate a self tanner while using the Obagi line? Or does this defeats the purpose of using Obagi? I'd like to try and have some color. Can it be done without losing the effect of Obagi? I am on week 4 of an 18 week regimen. Has anyone here used self tanners with Obagi? |

It doesn't make sense to apply self-tan and obagi at the same time since you'll be purging your new self-tanned skin.....
I would suggest you to ask the MD or skin care specialists.

I think it would be okay to use a self-tanner with Obagi. Have you used facial self-tanners before? In my experience they don't last but two or three days anyway and that was without Obagi. I'm hitting the maintenance phase of Obagi and am planning on using self-tanners now that warmer weather is coming. I'm very happy that most of my spotty hyperpigmentation gone but my face is overall very pale as a result. |

Yes, I've used self tanners in the past. Never really found a good one for the face. Still looking. Since I'm using all this sunscreen now because I'm using Obagi, I want to be able to have some color. I've been using 70 spf on my face. (Reason I'm using 70 spf is because I bought a motorcycle and will probably have all kinds of sun on my face.) What product will you use on your face? |

My favorite self-tanner for the face is Fake Bake's. I also tried Jergen's and it was okay but the color was more yellow than I liked. I've used some of my regular body self-tanners on my face as well and they worked fine. Some people find that body self-tanners settle into pores on their face but I didn't notice that problem. I imagine I'll continue using my Fake Bake until it's gone then just use a light layer of my body self-tanner on my face after that. |

I ordered the Neutrogena Sunblock, Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 70 - 3 fl oz from drugstore dot com. I really like it.
I am thinking of trying mamawalnut's suggestion of Fake Bake for self-tanner for my face. Haven't bought anything yet for that. |
