After going to the link and reading the article Cadia posted on another thread (How to get rid of lip lines) I am thinking about getting ROLLED with the big guns. I know I am not a candidate for a laser, since I am a scarrer, keloid-former and have silicone in my lips, so needling may be my saving grace. It's my old smokers lines I need the most help with. I'm going to keep dermarolling at home, but I would love to know if there is anyone in the States is doing the procedure??? |

Hi mountaingirl,
I think it states on there that if you're skin forms keloids then dermarolling isn't a good idea. My skin tends to scar as well. Is there a way you can do it more often at home?
You cannot use the derma/skin roller if:
You have a history of poor wound healing, blood problems, collagen diseases, have open cuts, wounds, sun-burnt skin, active herpes outbreaks, pustule acne lesions, or any other acute infection or inflammation of the skin, are pregnant or lactating, are prone to keloid scarring or have diabetes. If you are in any doubt about the condition of your skin do not hesitate to consult your MD. Always keep the Derma Roller stored out of the reach of children.
