Thanks for this reminder about putting the CC on a dry face. I have done that but then added water to emulsify. Do you all do this or just work with the CC alone?
Do tell! |
I want to see what Marina and Riley say. I put that pea size amount on my finger, stick it quickly into running water and then spread it on my fingers and apply to my face. |

Thanks, Marina. Tonight, I will not use water and follow the lymph massage Riley posted - will let you all know how I get on.
Just an aside, but I don't have hardly any blackheads anymore and I was mostly using the CC wrong! Even since I shelved it, the blackheads have stayed gone so that's good news. |

No water till you're ready to take it off.Actually, I'd love to get the face silk thing mmentioned on the Herzog UK site, they recommend using that and a final cold water "press" with the silk after you remove the CC.
I tried to copy & paste the directions, but it's a Pdf file..anyway, it's onwww.karinherzog.co.uk. |

I want the face silk too. Do they sell it at your spa? I do the cold water thing afterwards but I use my little cotton round, well, square now. It's actually 100% cotton isn't it? |

Marina -
Ok. So apply to a dry face. But after putting the cleanser on your fingers, do you run them under the water? tia |

Okay, got it with the cold press after removing the CC. I guess it's due to the very warm towel instruction so following with a cold press would be good for the skin.
Finally, I put my JoElla order in and got:
Cream AHA
Vitamin H
Tonic Lotion
Oxygen Face Cream
3% Body Lotion
Vita A Kombi Facial Oil
I noticed today that I've still got quite a bit of my VK2 left in the jar and can easily see it lasting at least two months so while the products are pricey when bought all at once, they do last a decent amount of time.
Frankly, I'm shocked that I've immersed myself in the Karin Herzog line hook, line and sinker! I swear I'd kiss the woman, if I had a chance and since my skin would be nice and smooth, I'm sure she'd notice. LOL. |

No, I tried it both ways and I like the dry better. I just really massage it in and then take the cotton pads (wet) to remove it. But, let it do its work a few seconds before massaging. Now apparently, I have to add a cold water rinse too. My facialist fell off her chair when I told her I was going to use wet fingers to apply...these facialists are very dramatic |

Now for something that truly has my mind boggled. I've been applying the Vitamin H to my face, neck and chest. All of a sudden my bra feels tight and uncomfy. So for the last few days I went without the H on my chest. Today I used the H and my bra feels wierd again. I've not gained weight, I'm not ready to start. I'm at a loss about this. But I was giving directions to a client today and I lifted my arms overhead and the bra is suddenly sitting ontop of the boobs~~Is it possible that the H is plumping the skin that much?? |
Blues, did you notice the plumping action on your face, as well? I wonder as you mentioned it did tighten (at least I think you said that).
I am very intrigued whether the Vita H is plumping the ladies so much. |

I feel the facial tone is firmer but I wouldn't say it's plumper. I don't know what is going on but it's driving me wild. I need to try my other bras and see if it feels as strange. I had Yogi look at the ingredient list to see if something in there would enlarge my chest. She doesn't see anything. |

Wonder if JoElla could comment on this strange phenomenon? |

I do the cleansing cream on dry face, no water added to mine. I usually let it sit for about 1 minute, massage it around, and then use the wet cotton pads to remove. I feel like this gets my face cleaner, as well as no more greasy feel for me.
I am lazy (!), so what is the face silk? |

Tonight after I cleansed, I noticed I had tiny lumps on my chin. This is very unusual for me. I never break out. I did squeeze a few and some of them expressed a tiny amount of stuff. I guess I will see how this goes in the next few days. Wonder what this is about, though! |

Well, now this IS interesting. I washed my face tonight as we discussed today, nice and then did the massage that Riley posted. Very nice. In another life, I was and I do keep up my certification, a massage therapist. I didn't do actual Lymphatic Drainage massage but I do appreciate the benefits. I found some sore spots in places that were somewhat surprising. I plan on doing this several nights a week to see what happens. ANYWAY, for the first time ever, when I applied my Kombi tonight my face stung and I had an odd metallic taste in my mouth. It's been approximately five minutes since I applied the Kombi and I'm still feeling a little stingy. Is this the washing technique and/or massage?
Riley, that happened to me about two or three weeks into using the products, on my chin also. I decided it was old stuff coming up because the sebum was somewhat hard and waxy like. Like you, I never break out. It was this that had me intrigued enough to buy more products. |

I also followed Marina's advice to not add water to the CC and massaged sort of along the lymph nodes (forgot to look at the pic again before I started) but it felt good.
It also seemed to cleanse easier with the cotton pads afterward, for some reason. Then, I used a very warm microfiber to cleanse one final swipe and there was no residue on the cloth as before so this looks like a winner.
Putting the products on well before bedtime also seems to be the ticket so none get rubbed off. I am waking up to very fresh looking skin...and am also excited about putting the oil on before the VK2 for additional dewy-ness. Heck, who doesn't want that fresh-faced look?
Now, I'd love to hear about the silk cloth for $21! Are we obsessed or what? |

That silk cloth does look kinda nice. I want if there is any way that Jo Ella can get some. I use a washcloth and it can be a little bit rough. I have tried the cleanser different ways and it seems to work best on dry skin. |

It has only taken me three days but I have finally made it to the end- whew, well I am sold on trying KH on my late 40's, perimenopausal, normal/dry with oily nose and forehead skin....
Thanks to all of you who have gone before me and written of your experience- what a lively bunch, now I just have to sit back and wait for my order- oh and thanks for the recommendation to use JoElla- great site. |

I want to see what the fabric content is and then see if I can find something similar or make one. How hard could it be and trust me, I'm not got one whit of talent in that department. As someone pointed out to me, you'd need several of those and I can't imagine having close to 100 bucks in face silks. If someone asks JoE about this, please post here. |

Somewhere back in the posts there was mention of trouble with sunscreen. Being very fair I need something with a high spf whenever I even step outside. What ingredients should I avoid with this line, what products have you found to work best- I am not familiar with the one others had mentioned is it carried by EDS? And honestly with the amount of money I just plunked down- cost is certainly a factor, though something more expensive that protects my skin is better than cheaper that does not. |
