I am trying to remember the name of a nail polish I saw on a website somewhere (no, I didn't bookmark it. sigh). I remember that the brand name was one word, but was very clever - a play on words/phrase or something. It was one of those no tourlene (is that right?), no formaldehyde, etc. brands.

I know that's not a lot of info, but can anyone out there help??? I am definitely banging my head against the wall trying to remember... Brick wall

It could be Honeybee Gardens watercolors. It's a waterbased nail enamel that doesn't contain any of the yuch yuch you'll find in most nail polish. It doesn't smell like nail polish at all. I splurged on 3 bottles last year but sadly didn't continue to use it. Because it's waterbased, the nail enamel forms a molecular bond.

Nail color stays on your nails very well and the shades are lovely but let me tell you it was a horrible BE-YOTch!!! to remove! I wound up having to use straight acetone to get that stuff off my nails, which kind of defeated the purpose. Their website says you can use isopropyl alcohol to remove the polish as long as it hasn't been longer than a week but I had to use the hard stuff.

Too bad, I really wanted to like it Crying or Very sad

Could it be Butter nail polish? That has been getting a fair bit of PR recently. I was only looking at their website today by coincidence! If that is the one you were thinking of, their website is butterlondon.com.

No, not those... (although I like that this thread is giving me all sorts of other options!)

Later today I'll call the salon where I saw them. They were closed last night when I started having this "problem." Rolling Eyes

I too am looking for a polish that is not full of chemicals, but I've also been told there are different polishes available for those who have natural nails.

I guess the ones used in salons are created for fake nails, which I don't ever plan to use.

Has anyone seen a line or a website that caters to this choice?

Hi Traveler Japan, I think you've got lots of options if you have natural nails and want a more natural nail polish. This is a thread that I started with some natural polish reviews this summer, it might help with choosing: http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewtopic.php?tid=29984

I haven't personally tried SpaRitual, but I bet the blogger http://www.alllacqueredup.com/ has something to say about it!
