Information:
Blemish balm cream aka bb cream, started off as a soothing treatment balm dermatologists + surgeons used on patients who underwent laser skin treatment. It helps to shield\protect and regenerate delicate skin. Korean actresses and stars soon started using this cream and it sparked off a huge craze in Korea due to its excellent results.

Beauty brands in Korea have since developed BB cream and made it more suitable for Asian skin.

By far, many brands have come out with their own BB cream of various different functions.

BB cream is a foundation that soothes and regenerates the skin, meanwhile acting as a good foundation with excellent coverage. It can cover dark rings, acne marks and uneven skin tone naturally, giving your skin a natural glow. It also has good oil control power without conprimising your skin's moisture level.

I'm really want to try BB cream, but it's good for Asian only.

If you search in the product review section, there's a thread about bb creams and amami aya has done a review on a number of well known bb cream brands. Also check out cozycot, there's lots of pages on ALL Asian branded bb creams from Missha, Skinfood, Hanskin, BRTC etc etc.

I've yet to try any Asian brands but have been using Dr Schrammek's bb cream and have to say that it wasnt all what I expected. I was thinking that maybe after applying it, my skin would be near flawless Embarassed . But it didnt really conceal my belmishes nor control my oilies. It didnt break me out, yet it wasnt that soothing and healing either, though it did calm down *some* redness. It comes in 2 shades- beige/natural and honey and I had the beige one cos the honey seemed too dark for my skin. Upon application, my skin was very pinky-beigey white and you can tell I had something on my face, and although from what I've read, most bb creams are like that, the Dr S didnt melt into my face later in the day so my face was significantly lighter than my neck.
I'm not using it anymore and I've not even touched my Dr Jart's either cos I dont want to aggravate my skin when I'm at the beginning stages of suing Retin-A. But I will most likely start using Dr Jart in next month.

HTH

Sorry to bring up an old topic (and I don't know if this is allowed), but I actually have many Asian Branded BB Creams that I'm letting go of. Please let me know if anyone's interested in buying them off of me! Very Happy

I have tried quite a number of Korean Brands BB Cream, such as Skin79, BRTC, Dr Jart, Coorgi, Hanskin and Missha.

IMO, i find that Skin79 color is darker as compared the other brands.
