I am wanting to buy either product which I think could help my skin. I can't afford both.

I am 54, have great skin (partly because of my gene pool/ and Elysee products) but of course my skin is starting to age with a few lines. I also have somewhat oily skin which I know the Clarisonic would be great for.

For my more mature skin, I am leaning towards the Baby Quasar (or a product like this) but thought I would get opinions here.

You ask a tough question. Think I have both gadgets. I love both of them. Honestly, starting out I would get the Clarisonic. In several threads I stated this is my favorite gadget (Quasar SP, Nuface, Clarisonic). The Clarisonic massages my face, keeps my pores emaculate, exfoliates and stimulates circulation. My skin glows from the Clarisonic. If you have other family members at home they can each have their own brush head. My husband loves the Clarisonic. Buying it for the whole family made the purchase a tad easier. Cool

Perhaps you can save up for the BQ. Wink

I agree with Winnie - my first inclination is the Clarisonic. By using this you will get better use out of your skincare products - they will sink in better and can do their thing! The clarisonic acts as an exfolient. Your skin will be cleaner, clearer and more healthy looking in general. I love mine.

I also have a dpl (light therapy) and I do love this also but the Clarisonic is a daily staple.

Not to get off topic but - I have always wondered about Elysee. Which products do you use? Which products are a must? What do you think they have helped with?

I agree with the other posters, get the Clarisonic first. It is a twice daily use tool and is much easier to incorporate into your routine. The time required to use it is much less than the BQ and you are more likely to stick with it.

Thanks everyone for your response on will go with the Clarisonic.

Jac55- I have been using Elysee for three years and at almost 55 I have goregous skin and am constantly told I look 40. Pictures of me are on their board.

Elysee has state of the Art Products including Youth Span that turns back the hands of time. Optim Ox delivers Oxygen and gives you that fresh baby peaches and skin face you had as a child.

I love the fact that they manufacture their own products and truly will only sell the best. Their products are also resonably priced but most of all they work. I had tried everything before from Jason Beckett, Z. Bigatti, Renova, well the list goes on and on. Nothing has done what Elysee has done for my skin.

Just an update. I did go ahead and get the Clarisonic. With my Elysee, my skin is already cleansed, pores clean, my skin is bright with a healthy glow and this cleaner feels like it is irritating my skin rather than helping it.

I am sticking with my Elysee and returning the Clarisonic. Should have stuck with perfection to start with.

Wow, that's a fast decision--from deciding to order to deciding to send it back in two days! Are you sure you gave the Clarisonic a fair shake? I found that I didn't have an appreciation of its benefits till I used it for a couple of weeks.

Yes unfortunately I can tell my skin was being irritated by it. With the skin care products I use my my skin is balanced, not red or irritated.

Will look at the Quasar or another product for the minimal lines I have. Thanks for your help.

What a shame! Perhaps a microfiber facecloth would be less irritating.

platinumrose,

I'm confused. Are you talking about the cleanser that comes with the Clarisonic irritating your skin or the actual brush? I don't really like the cleanser that comes with the Clarisonic but love the brush! You can use almost any cleanser with the brush, probably including the one from Elysee that you like.

I've used a variety of cleansers with the Clarisonic, even the Burt's Bee oil one, and the brush works great. Currently, I've using Leaf & Rusher's green tea cleanser and am enjoying it.

Going a bit off on a Leaf and Rusher tangent as I recently recommended the L&R Active Serum to platinumrose on another thread... The more Leaf & Rusher products I try, the more impressed I am with this line. I just got a friend of mine with sensitive skin, the Leaf & Rusher travel kit and hope she loves the products as much as me! So far, the only L&F product I wasn't impressed with is the exfoliating lip balm (the sugar particles in it are too big IMO and I didn't find it worth the price). I'm new to trying the L&R toner so it's too early to report whether I feel it's worth it... But I love the Active Serum and the Day and Night Treatment creams!

ruk1,

Yes, by doing a deep cleaning of the pores, the Clarisonic does help prevent acne from forming.

There are a number of threads on the Clarisonic to read here on EDS.

Not in my case. I have had the clarisonic for several months now and don't feel like it has improved my skin in anyway..nor harmed it. My face does seem clean after using it but that's it..
I still use it daily but wished I would not have spend the money on it or had returned it.
Now my Dermawand is another story..it has helped my hormonal (during that time of the month) acne dramatically. When a cystic pimple come on I use my DW and the pimple never fully forms and within a day or so it's gone.
I am now on the hunt for a Led device... Very Happy
