Hello everyone. I'm new to skincare and all the options out there are sooo confusing! I have been lurking here for a few weeks and researching what to do with my skin. I have normal/sensitive very fair skin and age 38. No acne but I break out eaily. I have very little sun damage and always avoided the sun and I'm a non smoker. I would like to keep the routine as simple as possible because I am on a tight budget. I'm not interested in department store brands with their fluff and empty promises, I'm searching for a more scientific, proven approach and I'm willing to be my own guinea pig.
Please could you critique this regimen:
AM:-
-Paula's Choice One Step Face Cleanser
-Paula's Choice Extra Care Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 30+ on face and neck area
-Kinerase eye cream
No makeup/foundation or powder on my skin.....
PM:
-Rinse skin with water and apply Galderma Renova 0.05% to face and neck (not under eyes)
-NOTCH (John Hill) eye cream
I use the aspirin mask once a week and L'Oreal Micordermabrasion twice a week to exfoliate.
Botox every 4 months.
Should I add Skin Biology Copper Peptides to my AM routine?
Is there anything else I should add? Any tools that are must have, like the derm roller? I am sorry if my questions are stupid but I am new to this and I have googled, looked in this forum and checked product reviews but also would like to know your expert opinions.
Thanks for your help!!!! |

Hello and thanks for replying! My skin is very fair and fine with some little spider veins and I have tiny wrinkles developing. Also some light pigmentation from acne scars as a teen. I want to improve my skin's texture and of course anti ageing if possible, so that's why I'm looking into copper peptides and maybe vitamin c serum. All advice is welcome! |

I really stand by getting someone to really look at your skin before investing in expensive products. You may have the right line for you, but using the wrong products. I strongly recommend getting a facial from a place that has a good skincare line and a good reputation. Maybe the line that you are looking at or one in your price range. Then, get as many samples as you can and try out a regime for a week or two. If you have the attitude that you are going to BUY you can get samples for anything. |

Thank you for your reply, it does make sense! |

Hi Sienna
May I ask what an aspirin mask is.
Sorry to sound naive, but at 43 have just started to really take notice of my skincare routine and just trying to age gracefully.
Thanks
