Ladies
Which of the two listed above do you think would make the biggest difference. I am in my early sixties, but skin really looks good. Is there anyway at all that this valmont stuff (and they say you need the serum and cream) could be worth $1600 a year?

The two things I am referring to are flex-effect and the valmont serum and cream.

Could you be more specific on which Valmont products you are referring to. |

I've never used it, but my understanding is that the flex effect requires considerable time to have an effect and see results, and you have to keep at it. I have found that I just don't have the patience or inclination to spend lots of my valuable time on some device or treatment. A once a week mask is enjoyable, but even 10 minutes a day with a skin care device doesn't work for me. This was a lesson hard learned. I have 3 very expensive tools gathering dust that were a total waste. I used them each diligently for two weeks to a month, but just couldn't stick with it. Nowadays, I would rather slather on a serum and be done with it. |

linda123,
You definitely have to use quality skincare products. In this thread I will not get into products lines. I have used many and have my personal favorites.
Topical cream/actives work on the skin itself. My skin care product certainly have kept my skin firm, pores tighter and an all over refined looked. However, facial exercise works on the muscle to support our skin. For years I have done facial exercise. In fact, I am just starting the FlexEffect program. |

We are talking about two separate things here, e.g.. facial muscles and skin.
To look good you need to address both:
*** Facial muscles - with FlexEffect exercises (I do FlexEffect and I am so glad that I found this program)
*** Skin - with skin care
My suggestion there is Flex-Effect AND Valmont Serum. (you can use any skin care line of your preference) |

Hi linda123
I just started the FlexEffect program myself. What is recommended by that program (among other things) is: the exercises along with a remodeling agent (Retin-A, copper peptides, etc.) if you have sun damage. |

I find Flex effect effective but you also need good skin care - I personally don't believe you need to spend big $$$$$'s to get there. Remergent (Ebay) is a great line, my favorite at this point is Karin Herzog products - very nice with the results here.
With the cost of some lines in the end I think maybe it becomes diminishing returns. Hey, how about putting that money into a Prolight Platinum and getting some long term results. |

Preach it, Sis!
Yes, I came to the point where I was oversaturated with "prawducks" and just wanted to find a basic plan that works for me.
And you are so right, it doesn't HAVE to cost a fortune, but with so many choices and raves for each one, it is so daunting to make a choice!!
How does a person find what works without chasing after everything?? I have such a closet full of half-used things before deciding finally on a routine.
PS Sis: I still use BabyQ. So is Prolight Platinum that much better I should trade up? |
