Helichrysum is a good one for bruises.

not an essential oil, but magnesium oil is excellent for bruises, only use on undamaged skin

Homeopathic remedy that you can get in a health food store: arnica montana. You can get it in pellet (to take internally) or in cream/salve/oil form (for external use).

I second arnica. I'm pretty skeptical on homeopathic remedies, but arnica rally worked for me when I bruised my face badly in an accident.

I agree with both helichrysum and arnica (with arnica, pellets/internal is better for aches and pains and large area trauma and the gel or cream is better for bruising and surface trauma). I will also add that increasing Vit C to 2000 mg a day for a few days will super speed healing.
