I bought these two little, pink devices in order to achieve flawless paws in no time at all.

Manicure set
This is a nice, battery driven device with two speed settings. It will fit into a cosmetic bag. The manufacturer promises professional salon makeover in your home. The device comes with three different nibs to be attached to the device in order to get a complete manicure.
Nail file
You will need to place your hands onto the table to keep them stable when filing. I started out on speed 1 and continued on speed 2 when I got used to the electrical filing. I was amazed at how gentle, yet effective, the filing was. With only a little bit of practice I managed to file my nails in shape without doing any damage.
Cuticle buff
Cuticles should be softened with oils prior to this treatment. This little plastic thing pushes cuticles back with effective movements to round the base of the nails. It does its work as promised.
Nail polisher
This nib comes with two small buffers to be used after each other. The rough one is meant for buffing ridges on the nail surface. The fine buffer is for polishing nails to a smooth and shiny finish. These buffers have to be replaced after some time, just like manual nail buffers. Hands have to be kept stable on the table during treatment.
This was actually the most disappointing step of the manicure in terms of results. My nails get smoother and shinier with a manual nail buffer. It's a pity because the polisher was the main reason why I bought the manicure set.
Conclusion: A quality device which does a reasonable job. However - I don't find it to take less time or give better results than manicure with manual tools. Disappointing polisher.
Pedicure set
This is a little, battery driven device with two speed settings. It claims to quickly and efficiently eliminate the hard and dry skin on your feet. The set comes with one large and one small, thin file.
The large file does a great job with removing hard skin on feet. It's important to start on speed 1 and move along to speed 2 when you have got used to electrical filing. Speed 2 is quite powerful.
The small file is meant to work on thinner skin and areas between the toes. It works excellent and doesn't cause any harm or soreness.
Conclusion:
The pedicure set does exactly what it promises. This is definitely a time saving procedure compared to manual filing. I will continue to use this one!  |
