Even though the acetone smell goes away it does not mean the harmful effects of acetone on the skins epidermis and deeper does not take place, ESPECIALLY since a barrier is created to trap the acetone on the skin all night. |
Now this actually did cross my mind and I wondered about the ramifications of this. Fortunately, I only used it on my face once, and after that, I only used it on my hands. |

I just started using this product. I don't think the smell is that bad, strong at first then just disappears. I can't say anything bad or good so far as I've only used it one time. I am being optimistic and hoping for good results. Keep everyone posted. I got it from a medical esthetician and am hoping for good results. I have used the 302 products and they did not wow me so I am back to the drawing board! |

I ended up throwing three-fourths of the bottle out. What did you do with yours, Riley? |

Same thing! (Glad to hear I am not the only one who did that!) |

Can I ask why you threw it away? Was it the smell or that you just did not see any results? Just curious. Thanks! |

It was because of no results for me, babs1031. I could have lived with the smell if I thought it was doing something. |

Ditto for me. I could handle the smell just fine, but I had no results. Everyone is different, babs1031 and maybe you will see something that we didn't! |

Thank you both for answering. One more question, how long did each of you use this? I will let you know how it goes as I continue to use it. |

babs1031, I only used it on my face 1 time. It caused a lot of itching for me on my forehead, so I did not use it there. I was using it on my hands, and I think I used it maybe 4 weeks? Not a long time, but I saw no change at all. Good luck with it! |

babs1031,
I used it on my hands (one longer than the other). I tried it on my neck but it rubbed off so I didn't keep trying. |

I have enjoyed reading your posts. Just a few comments on Skincerity.
I am a distributor of Skincerity and a nurse and what I understand about the product is :
The pharmaceutical grade acetone in Skincerity briefly flashes when the product is rolled on due to skin temperature :
1) killing 75 % of the bacteria in the pores under it (acne, rosacea, etc.)
2) then harmlessly evaporates, blowing micro-pore holes in the solidifying masque . (creating breathibility)
3) and acts as a catalyst causing the polymers to become the inert, soft, breathable,non-reactive, invisible, barrier. (laden with heavy concentrations of Grapeseed Extract and Vitamin E )
Then the Acetone is GONE - all in 2-3 seconds !
Its harmless. (I have a link to the research, but I am unable to insert it here as I am a new member. You can find it by Googlng "Skincerity Acetone Abstract".)
It leaves behind the inert polymer barrier - In my understanding creating the simplest, most advanced, medically significant, skin environment possible.
In this environment - the skin is bathed with the powerful anti-oxidants on top, and your body's unique Natural Moisturizing Factor truly held in the skin, for the first time ever in a breathable fashion .
The result is a "healing" or fantastically optimal environment (never before available) for skin to "renormalize". Skin is cleaned, rejuvenated, and exfoleated, other products are amplified by the barrier, and skin is moisturized with your bodies own Natural Moisturizing Factor. - the best, most skin compatible, method of moisurizing skin. Rather than trying to moisturize skin by adding moisture from the outside world, Skincerity moisturizes with the body's NMF - the best possible moisturizer that that particular skin can ever use as nutrition for its processes. It is a moisturizer than can not be duplicated by any lab on earth. It's your unique native moisture sealed in - but with a barrier that breaths. The ability of the skin to use its own moisture to moisturize the skin is ultimately highly efficient - the body doesn't have to accept and reject, or utilize just the portion of an outside "moisture" that is placed ON it - it is able to hold its own, totally compatible moisture already IN it, thus utilizing a moisture that is chemically perfect and 100% compatible and immediately useable for that particular unique skin. Pretty smart stuff, eh ?
Skincerity was originally developed as a medication delivery vehicle. This is a new medical technology. |

I have been using this product and I really do like what it is doing to my skin. It just seems "different". Clear, smooth and bright. This is not always the case with my skin! I don't think the smell is that bad and it does go away quickly. I am going to keep up with and keep everyone posted. I have not tried it with any other products, just by itself. |

I hope it works for you, HealthySkinLover. The fragrance is something that I got over pretty quickly. |

Thanks! well it's my second night.. i'm about to roll it on. The fragrance is way too strong, making me stop halfway and wait to recover a while.. although this morning i did find ssomething different about my skin, (i use the obagi nuderm system as well) i feel as if my skin got exfoliated or something! i'm really positive about this now. The smell though is going to take quite a while to get used to.
I'm also concerned regarding what everyone is saying with the acetone. :/ |

Okay I have tryed skincerity for at least faithfully one month. I LOVE it. I think it's incredible. people ask me why my skin looks luminese? I do use with a skin care line Obagi so I am sure that is helping too. But you can get great results using whatever. I highly recommend it. I don't sell it and it is a little pricey but it's worth it for the results. I am sold. |

I see a lot of raves from new members posting...makes me wonder if they're here just to say good things about the product which are representatives from Skincerity
I personally tried it before. I got 2 boxes cuz of all the hype BUT I don't see much happening on my face unfortunately One of my frds said she sees improvement in her face but just not me I guess. I still have one new box left. If anyone's interested, you can have it for half price and I can include free shipping too. Let me know! Thanks |

This is one of the worst products on the planet! It pealed off almost as soon as I put it on and by morning most of it was in my bed... it looked like a snake was sleeping with me. After 1 week I saw results... BAD ONES! I have never broken out so badly from a product in my life. Save your money ladies... this stuff is WAY over priced and a total scam! I threw the bottle away. |

Hi!
For most of us, it took 40 or 50+ (or more) years to "earn" our lines and wrinkles! Why would we ever imagine that even a "Super Great Product" (like Skincerity) could erase these in a couple of weeks or even 1-3 months?!? I have been using Skincerity for about "three and a half months" and am "starting" to see results!
The lines in my forhead are about two-thirds
of what they were, the crows around my eyes are fading slowely, but surely! My laughlines are surely not as deep as they use to be, and the lines on the sides of my mouth = ALL have a VERY NOTICABLE difference!
One must be patient and not expect overnight miracles! I figure that if within 6 MONTHS TO ONE YEAR, if the Skincerity has half or over of my facial aging deminished, I SHALL BE VERY HAPPY! I will continue using it until I get the results that make me satisfied!!!
The acetone everyone is complaining about is only for fast drying = which takes about 10-15 seconds!! (Such as when you remove your fingernail polish - the odor is gone in about 10-15 seconds!!!) It does NOT absorb into your skin, it only dries Skincerity quickly while it evaporates! It's something like cooking with beer....you don't taste the beer because the alcohol evaporates quickly!
A lot of you think the product is expensive. Perhaps if you consider the "High Cost" of surgery, the black and blue, the pain, the scars, you would consider Skincerity a blessing! Botox is only good for a year, then again you have to consider a nerve getting damaged and your face being distorted for life!!!
I am not rich, but my one luxury I claim is to use Skincerity until I get the results I am happy with!!!!!
Skincerity was NOT produced as an anti-aging product!!! It was produced for skin cancer (to use after removal to keep the suns rays and bacteria out, and help the "healthy" skin cells to form instead of the cancerous ones)! I would rather trust a product produced for pharmacutical purposes on my face than experimental cosmetics!!!!! It was only in the process of using Skincerity for skin cancer that they discovered that where the Skincerity had been applied, there was a noticable difference in the aging of the skin!
After 7 million dollars, and three patents, Nucerity started marketing Skincerity as an anti-aging product. That sure wins my trust!!!
I certainly do not sell Oil of Olay, but on the Early Morning Show on television they stated the TOP THREE best anti-aging skincares on the market. I do not remember the other two, because when I heard Oil of Olay - I was already using it, and the other two went right over my head. I only remember that they were VERY costly!!! So I continue using my Oil of Olay and roll my Skincerity on before I go to bed!
Also be informed that Skincerity works on acne, rosacea, scars, psoriasis, malia, eczema, and age spots! What a Huge Bundle rolled into that one bottle of Skincerity!!! Also, Skincerity works rapidly on acne, rosacea, and eczema!
Remember, "patients" is the key word! You will not see any 2-3 week improvement with ANY anti-aging product on the market, nor even 2-3 months! Wear it with grace, have faith, and enjoy the results!!! I am!!!!!

For those of you thinking of trying “skincerity” let me tell you something the company isn't telling you,in person with samples or their website that does not list the ingredients. they are as follows-acetone,yes acetone otherwise known as nail polish remover, fluoropolymer, otherwise known as Teflon and mixed often with plastic and epoxies, then acrylic polymer, this is varnish!!!, then followed by tocopherol-this ingredient went under testing and found to be a cancer causing agent on it’s own there is no study show how safe it is to use is smaller doses. then we have vitamin E-well it’s a great hydrating and healing ingredient, then vitis vinifera, this is essentially grape seed oil-loaded with anti-oxidants which is good, followed by artificial fragrance i can only describe as “green apple car tree” most ingredients here are TOXIC the only two useful ingredients are also the last listed meaning they are the lowest % in the product. so they you have make your choice but if a product does not give you an ingredients list it’s probably not good for you, have you ever seen ingredients listed on a pack of cig? my point exactly.i currently work as an aesthetician and majored in chemical science..this is not good skin care, there are thousands of products that will give you what your looking for without the cancer. |
