If most of the wrinkle products out there do not work, What should one do to get rid of wrinkles besides surgery??
I tried Dr denese, Dr perricone, Vivier, Alpha derma, Alouette, pure skin, juice beauty, emu oil, anew from avon, Olay and probably a few more that I forgot about it. For me it's my under eyes, I need to get rid of the greepness???? HELP!!!! |

chelsie, can you tell us a little more about yourself? About how old are you? What is your skin type?
There are so many factors to consider when deciding on a skin care routine.
Personally, I have mature skin. I am at the stage I need more then topicals. Besides my favorite actives I am using: LED device (Quasar), Nuface (facial firming device) and I just started an intense facial exercise program.
You will find the members of EDS full of great suggestions. |

I think it's more effective to use both Vit C + peptide product .
I like the Dermaquest peptide products however the EDS don't carry this brand. |

I'm not familiar with all of these lines but I think part of the problem is that you seem to be focusing on product lines, instead of proven active ingredients. I'm no expert by any means, but you should be looking along the lines of retinoids (i.e. retin-a), acids (i.e. glycolic), peptides (i.e. copper), etc. It will still take some time to figure out what active ingredient works best for your skin, but that should at least give you a starting point. I personally do better with retinoids and acids, but it all depends on what your skin needs. Hopefully others will have some additional advice for you as well. Good luck! |

Chelsie, what are your particular issues under your eyes? I do see you mention wrinkles and crepiness.
This is a delicate area of the body so you have to be careful. Moisturizing is important. I like emu oil. You said you've used it and are unhappy with it. I find good moisturization does add a plumping effect.
Have you seen any improvement with the PSF retinol .5% you have been using? I've definitely seen some improvement in my crow's feet with Leaf & Rusher Active Serum which includes 2% retinol and some ester C. I'm thinking of bumping up to retin-A since I've had good results with the Leaf & Rusher. In the U.S., you need a prescription for retin-A -- or you can order online internationally from some sources.
Acids or microdermabrasion may help as well but, again, it's a sensitive area so be careful. Try using a "microdermabrasion" cloth lightly in the area of concern to "buff". EDS sells ones by PSF and there are other sources of such cloths mentioned on many EDS threads (I personally like Ebay Stan's "microdermabrasion" sponges).
Maybe a professional treatment like microdermabrasion or laser resurfacing would be worthwhile for you. Maybe you should invest in a consultation with an aesthetician or doctor who does these type of procedures and see what they recommend. Also LED at home might help but it's a $$ investment with no quarantees. |

I suggest you to try Obagi if you are at your late 30s and up. Otherwise, Dermalogica or MD Forte should work. |
