Hello everyone, ive been using the jan marini cleanser for oily skin (glycolic acid)for about a month now and im getting really quite good results with it, but there is one really really big problem, the skin on my hands is peeling off! especially between my fingers. Obviously first thoughts would be that if its causing this to happen to my handS then it might not be such a good idea to put it onto my face, but ive got nasty skin and like I said im getting good results so im not planning on stopping! its starting to look quite bad. Im using as much moisturiser as I can to keep it under controll but does anyone have any tips or ideas about how to stop it happening in the first place? X |

Wash your hands with another non-AHA soap after you wash your face. It will get the remaining acids off. Or at least lessen their effect.
Or follow up with a baking soda rinse. To neutralize them. Simple. |

The exact same thing happened to me when I was using the Jan Marini Cleanser! I suppose it shouldn't be so surprising. I used to just make sure i'd washed my hands really well as soon after I'd applied the cleanser and then moisturised my hands. |

1. Wash your hands carefully after using the soap.
2. Use some moisture whenever you washed your hands.
3. Put some sunscreen on your hands, because glycolic acid makes skin vunerable to sunburn. |

You could try using close-fitting latex (or other type) gloves while washing your face. After you're done, wipe off any talcum powder that may have been inside the gloves and has transferred to your hands, then moisturize your hands well. |

Or pour a bit in a bowl and use a fan brush from the art store to apply like some spas do when they apply a mask. I think rinsing might be okay as its not sitting on your hands. |

I think using a glove probably
would be necessary from now on
after the reaction of ur skin to it o_O |
