MAC Cleanse off Oil

I've been a MAC Make-up artist for a few years, but was always a snob for their skincare. The Esthetician in me wants top of the line products. Recently I tried our (MAC's) cleanse off oil cleanser.

It goes on as a light oil, you can massage it as an oil and when you add a little water it turns into a milk, and rinses clean off the skin. No residues of make-up, oil, etc and the Skin feels fresh and Not even slightly stripped.

Totally overlooked product, and I'm currently obsessed with it. I have very oily/acne prone skin that's very sensitive & this product works very well for me. Try it out! It is Almost 20 bucks for 5oz, which I'm ok with, but others may not be.

Also, this products has no mineral oil. Mostly lavender & some other nice oils. Clarins makes a similar product, as does dermalogica (Pre-Cleanse). The Clarins one had too many ingredients I didn't care for. Dermalogica's Precleanse is very nice, but for some reason I like the MAC one better. I don't feel I need to Double-cleanse after Cleanse Off Oil, where as Dermalogica's precleanse requires a 2nd cleanse.

I used up my last bottle and really loved the results. No smudges or residue after cleansing and my face felt moisturized. ALSO its smells yummy Smile

It really is a nice product.

Laura Mercier have one also and its brilliant and can be washed off or tissued its really great in the morning when the skin is not too dirty so no water needed

Hi, I am wondering if acne prone skin can also use this one, and how much is this product. If it is cheaper, then it will be nicer.

The Laura Mercier Cleansing Oils run about 40 dollars, unfortunately. I have acneic skin and the MAC Cleanse Off Oil works great for me.

The Laura Mercier Cleansing Oils run about 40 dollars, unfortunately. I have acneic skin and the MAC Cleanse Off Oil works great for me.

Thank you. Now I know which one to go. I checked Laura mercier's official website. supprisingly ,they didnot list the volume of the cleansing oil.

I also adore the MAC Cleanse-off Oil, but unfortunately, it's a bit hard to get hold of where I live, so I have to stock up when I go travelling. I have dry, rather sensitive skin, and find that it cleanses well, without drying out skin too much. Smile

I still have the older version, the one with Lavendel in a round pump bottle. I love this one for removing 'stubborn' makeup. I have a Kanebo oil cleanser as well, and have tried the Pure Luxe oil cleanser version, but the Mac one is still my favourite: It is light, still removes all makeup, and does not make the skin greasy afterwards.

I hope the new version is as nice or even nicer than the older one.

The MAC Cleanse Off Oil is Formulated with Olive Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil & Vitamin E. It has a pretty good ingredient track record Smile

The Decleor Huile Demaquillante is made with Lavender, Petit Grain and Lemon Essential Oils. I don't remember if it uses Alcohol as a stabilizer, but I know the MAC Cleanse off Oil doesn't.

I promise, you will love it. It's a great oil.

It's also nice to use once as a face wash, and then a second time mixed with a light physical exfoliant. I mixed one pump of the oil with a jojoba seed scrub and it was glorious! Smile

I love this stuff! I'm a product junkie - always looking for another product to use - but I will never use another makeup remover. Simply squirt two maybe three if you have heavy makeup on, pumps of the product onto your dry hands and massage over your dry face. It takes off all makeup and I rub it over my eyes (closed obviously) softly massage it through my lashes and eyelids and then rinse it off. Everything comes off! I don't use eye makeup remover. Just this. Try it sometime.

There is a lot of good reviews on MUA for this cleansing oil and it is an alternative to ordering online.

Personally I really like Clinique Take the Day Cleansing Balm and have reordered many times (during GWP of course!)

I found Laventine has several cleansing oils made without mineral oil. And these oils are much cheaper, has anyone tried both and made a comparison?
