Hi,
I bought Valmont Regerna I last month and feel it is the best cream I ever used. A big advantage of the cream is that it lasts long time, maybe 4 or 5 months for me. I only use it for PM. My concern is how long does Valmont keep fresh once it is opened?
EDS has 15% discount now and I am wondering if I should buy Valmont Regerna II for next winter. But I do not know how long the Valmont products can be preserved before opened.
Anyone has any suggestions? Thanks a lot. |

Hi, valmont products will list their expiration date on the package. I just bought a RegeneraI 2-3 weeks ago from EDS, and the expiration date is 10/2009. |

Thanks januarui for your timely reply. Do you mean that we only need to use products before the expiration date on the product jars, no matter it is opened or not? I heard that Cellcosmet, a similar line with Valmont, better be used within 3 months once they are opened. |

Hi, Inlife, I haven't opened my valmont stuff yet , as I want to use them in winter. I just checked the ingredient lists of my valmont and cellcosmet products. They both contain paraben, cellcosmet contains only one form of paraben. As a result, I think they should be able to last six months after opening the lid. However, I am not sure, as this is also the first time for me to buy valmont and cellcosmet products. |

Hi januarui,
Thanks for your info. Wondering if EDS have other discount events in the rest of 2008, such as before Christmas or Thanksgiving. |

I think you can find it out by checking EDS Member Appreciation Forum frequently. Good luck. |

To be certain I suggest emailing EDS Spa just prior to placing your order. Certainly you can save the cream for the winter depending on the expiration date. |

The labeling law has changed in EU.
The exp date is not requested. (which some time is misleading). The new label is how many months after opening the bottle. |

Are you sure? I don't want to use an unopened product but over 5 years old! |

Normally, skin care has a shelf life of 3-5 years unopened. |

If there is no expiry date stated, then it can be kept for 3 yrs (only if you haven't open the product). Howver, if you open it, it can be used just for 1 yr |
