Dunno if this has been posted before but I was looking into threading and found this: www dot indiaparenting dot com/beauty/article.cgi?art_id=133
Sorry about the link I'm not allowed to link yet.
It works for me, I tried it on my legs and wil try it on my face later today. I found that a shorter thread and pulling it quite tight to the skin works best.

Hi
I used regular cotton thread. I used it on my legs first and it was almost pain free, just a very slight tingle. Took a few minutes to get a good rhythm going but I have the same results as waxing with no mess or soreness at all.
When I used it on the face, it was much easier to do but it did smart a little but was totally bearable. I don't know if this is because I have never removed facial hair before so maybe was over-sensitive. Great results though! My face was red and blotchy for about a hour but now it is totally fine and SMOOTH!! No more peach fuzz!!!
I am a bit scared to tackle the eyebrows till I'm a bit more experienced (and also because I'm getting married in 3 weeks and don't wanna chance making a big mistake right now), but I did do in between the brows and it removed hairs I never even knew were there......and I thought I got them all when I plucked last night!!
Good luck!! |

Congratulations on the wedding and yes I do agree with not risking a major incident 3 weeks before.
I have really blond fine hair so I am hoping to try this on my legs and eventually eyebrows. |

aileens123,
I first tried threading myself to remove chin hairs, I loved it! I used to DIY wax my face, legs, brows, and sometimes it seems that too many layers of skin were removed along with the hair. Threading takes a bit longer, but it's not nearly as messy and it doesn't rip my skin off. There are also some videos on You Tube showing how to thread.
I went to an industrial sewing machine supplier in my area and bought a 100% cotton thread that is slightly heavier than the standard sewing thread you find in Wal-Mart or craft/fabric stores. It seems to work better for me.
Threading Rocks!
