Can you tell me the reason you use this in your lotion, and is it in powdered form, liquid, or? |

Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3. There are peer reviewed articles showing that it can even skin tone, treat hyperpigmentation and likely has anti-inflammatory properties when used as a topical. I like using a cream with it before a special event because it makes my skin "flush". Proctor and Gamble has done and is doing studies on Niacinamide for various skin conditions.
Quote from Smart skincare.com "Niacinamide serves as a precursor of NADH and NADPH, which are co-enzymes (facilitators of enzymatic reactions) essential for numerous metabolic pathways. In particular, these co-enzymes play a key role in metabolism of glucose, cellular energy production, synthesis of lipids and so forth. The levels of NADH / NADPH decrease with age, and topical niacinamide appears to reverse the decline. Niacinamide also appears to have some antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. |

Will it be OK to just mix some niacinamide in one of the base creams from GoW or Skinactives? |
