i am a beauty therapist and had my decleor training about a month ago. i started using the ylang ylang oil and aroma purete range as i have oily skin and it has worked wonders! i have a patch of spots on my jaw which has been a constant for 4 years and it has now smoothed out and not flaired up since i started using this range. i am competely dedicated to it and in awe! also i normally get at least a few spots at my time of the months but so far so good!
yay to decleor! |

I was told that the balm could clog your pores if you are acne prone. It should be used only when you get a very dry patch and if you are regularly dry, then you can use it daily. |

the balm has a drip feed mechanism which works over 8-12 hours. the skin regenerates while it is relaxed i.e during sleep which, this is why you should use it at night and not in the day. if you find your skin feels oily and your pores are becoming blocked with this product then this is because you are using too much. use only a grain of rice size (which is why it lasts 6 months) and in the morning your skin should have soaked it all up.
there are different essential oils in each of the balms and so each has a different property.
the oily balm (ylang ylang) has tea tree which is antibactericidal and astringent (pore tightening), the ylang ylang purifies and balances the skin and jojoba is very compatible with the skins sebum.
the ylang ylang balm has a lighter texture than the other balms.
also because of the skins cycle which takes 28 days you would want to use this product for that length of time at least to allow it to work effectively.
hope this helps

I like Decleor ylang ylang oil as well. It calms down my acne prone skin. But today I found some news that worry me a lot. IFRA want to forbid the usage of ylang ylang extracts what will happen with these Decleor oils and balms? They are the only ones which are saving my stubborn skin. I tried to post IFRA website where I found this information, but I am a new member and I was not allowed. If you are interested you can find this information in IFRA's website (ifraorg.org) - 43rd amendment. I cannot imagine how the usage of ylang ylang extracts can be forbidden |

Yeah, and oakmoss as well (actually I found this list while searching info about IFRA forbidding oakmoss in fragrance - I'm fragrance addict. The perfumistas of the world are very upset by these news - this means the death of the old formulation chypre fragrance.)
I hope that some amount of ylang ylang will be possible to use, maybe the usage will be restricted, but not banned - but will it be enough for Decleor Ylang Ylang oil? I'll be impatiently waiting for IFRA's further decisions... |

Oh no This is bad. I can only see if maybe the strength is too high. But everyone knows that with natural products, some cannot be mixed with prescriptions, including Chinese herbs, unless your doctor say it is okay to do so. I think by applying it lightly and use it as a treatment only would be a good thing. If your skin does not get better, that is when I would go see the doctor. I plan to use the oil when I go away backpacking and I want to keep my skin clear of all dirt and keep my skin calm from the sun and heat. |

Will not. Essential elements are very small, it is easy to absorb, just need to massage

Because there is no reason to add artificial flavors, but it is very natural, is not it?
