I had tried this cream last year when it was the "old"formulation, and was really pasty and you had to add water to it. I never really used it, it was too much of a pain. I recently ordered the "new" formulation, which is much creamier, more like a cream than a paste. I started using it about 2 weeks ago, once or twice daily, and ever since I have had slight breakouts, nothing huge, but my skin was really nice before I added it. I emailed Kim and she said it was normal to purge a bit when you first start using the pearl products. I was just wondering if anyone else had this experience, and should I continue to stick with it? I have heard so many good things, so I want to continue using, but am hoping the breakouts stop. I also use retin-A pretty much every night for the past 6 months and that had greatly helped my breakouts.
Help! |

I don't think it's normal for skin to break out. It's a sign your skin doesn't like the product. I'd try stopping the product and see if the breakout will go away and then try again later. |

I agree, either you skin is reacting negatively to this cream or the cream is not combining well with Retin-A. |

I know, it's confusing me. Love to hear from others that actually use this pearl cream.
I don't want to continue using if the breakouts are not going to go away. |

Hi there, I used their pearl cream I think sometime last yr so it's still the old formula. I didn't seem to notice any increase in breakouts. Actually, I don't think the pearl cream did anything positive or negative to my face so I discontinued it. HTH |

I know the Chinese has been using pearl cream for a long time, but I stopped using it 10 years ago as I was told that some of them may contain toxic material. Can you tell me the product of origin for this pearl cream? Thanks |
